The downside of working with your spouse: constant distractions. 🏃🏽♀️🤪
But somehow, we always get the work done. 🤝

Running a business with your partner sounds romantic... until you're voice-noting each other business ideas from opposite ends of the house, accidentally turning every date night into a staff meeting, and hearing "I just thought of something..." for the sixth time that day. 😂
The funny thing is, we wouldn't have it any other way.
Building Vienna Waits together means we get to share the ideas, the excitement, the challenges, the wins, and the occasional whiteboard session that starts with one quick thought and somehow takes over the entire evening.
We get to build something we care deeply about with someone we genuinely love spending time with.
That's pretty f*ing cool. 💃🕺
Anyone else building a business with their significant other? We'd love to hear your biggest challenge (or funniest story) below. 👇
Raise your hand if you're guilty. 🙋🏼♀️😅
Learning to be your biggest supporter. 🤣
Running a business is full of unknown possibilities, but it's a risk we all have to take, even scared! 🥲💪🏼

Some things don’t just make you happy, they make you lose track of time. ⏱️
The moments that feel effortless, energizing, and deeply natural to you are usually trying to tell you something. 🧡
Maybe the things you were drawn to as a kid were never random. Maybe they’ve been clues all along.
Pay attention to what lights you up. There’s a reason for it. ✍🏼

Some Sunday motivation for the week ahead! 🫶🏼
Let's finish May off strong. 5 months into 2026 and we can't wait to keep growing and learning together. 💥
This is your sign to follow your intuitions, it's never too late to begin. 🧡
Running a business will really have you standing in random corners staring at your phone like you’re in the middle of a toxic relationship.😭
Checking emails. Replying to clients. Fixing one problem. ✅
Wouldn’t trade it though! ⭐️
Ahmed Moneka’s story is the kind that changes the way you see people.
Ahmed went from growing up in Baghdad, to being exiled after starring in a film that was highly controversial at the time, to rebuilding his life in Canada.
Fast forward 10 years, and Ahmed is now the first Iraqi Canadian artist to be nominated for a Juno and recently co-wrote the mindblowing musical “It’s a Good Life If You Don’t Weaken” featuring the music of The Tragically Hip.
What unfolds in this episode is a conversation about identity, resilience, music, belonging, art, community, and what it means to find home again.
We talked about:
🇮🇶 Growing up in Iraq
🎭 Art and activism
🇨🇦 Starting over in Canada
🎶 Busking in Toronto
❤️ Falling in love
🎸 The Tragically Hip
🎤 Creating “It’s a Good Life If You Don’t Weaken”
If you listen to one thing this week, make it this conversation.

The business will challenge you, but the real work is often who you have to become in the process.
The confidence, discipline, resilience, patience, and belief in yourself, that’s the part no one prepares you for. ✨
