Silver Marble Quilting Studio

Johanna Masko was this year's featured designer for the QuiltX show in St. Marys. Johanna's beautiful pattern "The Wireless" was a huge success at the QuiltX show. Kallisti Quilts selected beautiful fabrics from Japan to really make "The Wireless" pattern shine. I chose to quilt designs that would represent different types of sound waves etc. to really enhance and compliment the quilt pattern. Each year a different quilt designer is showcased at QuiltX and a new pattern is revealed at the show so you don't want to miss it. I am looking forward to seeing you all in September in St. Marys at QuiltX!

Here is the bold and beautiful "The Wireless" quilt done in African fabrics by Kallisti Quilts that was also on exhibit at the QuiltX Show in St. Mary's. I decided to quilt a square leaf vine to outline all of the shapes in the quilt, then fill the space with a fun swirl with flames coming off of it. I felt this quilt required a little something extra special......there are 2 small surprises on this quilt, but you have to look very closely to find them. If you look closely on the picture that shows the back of the quilt, you will notice the small mask near the top of the quilt and another near the bottom.

One of the beautiful quilts "The Wireless" that I had the pleasure of quilting for Kallisti Quilts that was on exhibit at the QuiltX show in St. Mary's September 18 and 19th. The varying density of feathers created such amazing interest, and check out that texture on the back of the quilt!

Kathryn's small Christmas quilt is completed well before Christmas! It was fun quilting a Christmas quilt in the summer. I love how outlining around the stars really made them stand out! Lovely!

Kathryn's beautiful Batik quilt turned out beautifully. I love all the texture that was created by using several quilting patterns.
