I am grateful for another year, and I am grateful that God has dealt with my fear.

God's goodness has chased and surrounded me, and I am filled with gratitude and humility.

Now, off to eat some cake.

It's summer, and we're out and about! One of the life skills I'm adding to my arsenal is . Back in the day, I used to be so envious of the cool kids in my neighbourhood with their BMX bicycles, and I secretly wished that I could be able to ride one. Who remembers BMX? Say me!

Well, thanks to the team at , my wish is finding its way from my heart to reality!

Learning to ride a bike is fun and challenging at the same time.

It's been a year of highs and lows, and the months definitely rolled on so fast!

All in all, there is so much to be grateful for. Life, good health, a roof over our heads, clothes on our bodies, food on the table, no debtors coming to collect, and many other blessings.

Friends, look back on this year and hold on to something that you are grateful for.

It's been a while since you saw me!

It's a trying time for many people, and it is important that we continue to invest in our well-being. We need to be purposeful about taking time off to refresh and re-energize ourselves for the daily grind and the random curve balls life throws at us.

A few weeks ago, I took a trip with some beautiful ladies to for a retreat, to pray and to play! What fun we had!

We stayed at the , and it was amazing, from the food to the activities!

Today, 30th September, is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation in Canada. The day was established by Parliament to honour the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well as their families and communities. 

To commemorate the day, we are encouraged to wear Orange to raise awareness of the individual, family, and community inter-generational impacts of residential schools and to promote the concept of “Every Child Matters”. The orange shirt is a symbol of the stripping away of culture, freedom,and self-esteem experienced by Indigenous children over generations.

As I reflect on the knowledge I have acquired on this subject, I conclude that we are still in the Truth phase of this journey, and reconciliation is an aspirational concept at this time.
