On5 Signs of an irresponsible babysitter that you should look out for.
By: Makayla Q-M
(High School Co-op Student)
Today, I will be pointing out 5 signs of a bad babysitter and share an experience I had when I was younger with a lazy babysitter.
1. Failing to focus on the instructions given to them. If the sitter has not been following instructions that you gave them to care for your child properly.
2. Arriving late to the scheduled time or is unreliable. If they are not communicating with you about arriving a bit late then you should reconsider having this sitter care for your child or have a chat with them.
3. Your child's behaviour or sleep patterns changing after a while of having the sitter care for them. The sitter is responsible for making sure the child is going to bed on time as well as the scheduled nap times.
The fourth sign is your child not being fed appropriately, if you find that your child is very hungry after their time with their sitter you have to check in with them and see what times they are feeding your child as well as what they are eating and if they aren't being fed fire the sitter immediately.
4. Inviting their friends over without your knowledge and losing focus on caring for your child. You should never have to worry about a sitter bringing friends over without your knowledge.
Use these tips to ensure your child is happy and safe while they are with their sitter and you can rest easy.

Here’s a warmer, more heartfelt version:
Hiring a nanny isn’t just for working parents—so many families can benefit from a caring, supportive extra set of hands at home.
👩 Gentle support for new moms adjusting to life with a newborn
👩 Help with older children so you can run errands or enjoy a peaceful moment
👩 Assistance with household tasks—laundry, dishes, cooking, light cleaning
👩 Space for your self-care and your relationship
👩 Companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
👩 Consistent, comforting care for your children right in your home
A nanny can bring calm, comfort, and ease to this beautifully busy season of parenthood. And remember—you don’t have to do everything alone. Reaching out for help is an act of love for your family *and* yourself. 💛
We’d love to help you find the perfect fit.
