🏁 Race Recap – Ohsweken Speedway 🏁

Grayson was back in action last night at Ohsweken Speedway, and after battling some handling issues the previous week, we were encouraged by the improvements we found in the kart. While Grayson was a little cautious during hot laps, it quickly became clear that we had made some positive changes.

In Heat Race #1, Grayson started 7th and was working his way forward before contact with another kart sent him spinning and to the back of the field. He recovered to finish 8th.

Heat Race #2 he put together a solid run and brought home a 3rd-place finish.

Starting 11th in the Feature, Grayson showed flashes of speed but wasn’t able to put together the complete race we were looking for, crossing the line in 12th.

The speed is there, and we’re encouraged by the gains we made with the kart. Now it’s about continuing to learn, making better decisions on the track, and putting all the pieces together. We’re confident the podium isn’t far away, and we’ll keep working hard to get there.

We’ll be back in action next Tuesday at Little Middleton Speedway, and we hope to see everyone there!

Due to the weather we are currently experiencing, plus the weather we have in the forecast, it has been decided to cancel tonight’s race. We will see you all next week for a night of racing.

Tonight is Race Day at Little Middleton,

I can’t find the actual post for last week’s race report but found these screen shots to share thanks to Andy G Racing

Tonight Grayson Raced at Ohsweken Speedway with a large field of 22 karts.

Grayson started Pole in his heat race and was running in 2nd until he spun sending him to the back.
The kart continues to be extremely loose, I adjusted on it between the heats but couldn’t seem to get it much better, and Grayson struggled to keep the kart pointed straight and spun off corner 2 more than once in the second Heat also.

That put us starting 18th for the feature.

I took at big swing at the setup for the feature, which finally tightened the kart up, but way too much, Grayson managed to pass a few karts and ultimately finished 14th.

Unfortunately it wasn’t the night we were hoping for but we’ll work on it and be ready for next Tuesday at Little Middleton.

Don’t forget to come to Ohsweken Speedway this Friday night for their fan appreciation night and autograph session on the track at intermission. Ask Grayson for a hero card, stickers, coloring page and more!

Our 2026 Racing season kicks off tonight!!

🚨TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT🚨
It is our first night of racing to start the race season off. Gates are open at 5:30pm and hot laps to start at 6:45pm.

We are looking for volunteers to help out this race season. If you are looking to see what it takes to run a program like this please either email Dave at [email protected] or find him in the pit area tonight. Volunteers are what make this program run without increasing costs to racers and fellow spectators.
