I'm going live in conversation tonight with at 8pm. We'll be discussing what it's like to be a musician during the pandemic and how isolation has affected our song writing / playing. Go to her page to join in.
Isolation - A new song by fhL. When considering the variety of emotions that people experience during this isolation, I wrote this song. A few things to note:
1. I never play more than 1 note at a time (each note is isolated).
2. The notes blend together via the damper pedal as our individual experiences with Isolation blend. Separately we're in it together.
3. There is some striking contrasts between dissonant tension and melodic release picturing the variety of emotion that different people experience.
4. It's short, because I hope this period of isolation is the same.
A little parody of "It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas" for your viewing pleasure. If you can't laugh, then hope must be lost. I trust you enjoy this humorous poke at the current pandemic.

Announcement: The pic is proof of fhL's initiation for our new drummer, Daniel. (He didn't even complain.) I didn't think it could get any better when joined as our lead guitarist on the violin, but Daniel is one unbelievably talent young man. We're ecstatic to have him on board.

It's with great excitement that we unveil this new song because it showcases the new live sound of fhL and the talent of Maggie Leriger on the violin. Maggie has agreed to join fhL and we look forward to performing live shows with her once this quarantine is over. She's our new lead guitarist, only on the violin. And wow she's got chops. Wait until you hear her live!
This hard hitting, uplifting, late 90s style rock tune by fhL, challenges the listener to consider the negative effects of stress and anxiety. Too much of life is out of our control, so why bother trying to control it. If things are dragging you in a downward spiral, why are you holding on so tightly? Deal with what you can and hand over the rest to someone who is capable of controlling everything.

Deep thoughts on the quarantine...
1. From now on, inside jokes only.
2. If necessary, newspaper can substitute for toilet paper but be warned, the Times are tough.
3. A spanish friend of mine ran out of toilet paper. Finally I know the meaning of his panic.
4. Finland just closed their borders. As it stands, nobody crosses the finish line.
5. Officially announced this morning, all hair salons: Closed. All tanning salons: Closed. Manicure & Pedicure Salons: Closed. All waxing salons: Closed. Look out everyone, its about to get ugly out there.
