Thanks to the Short Circuit Film Festival and the team at for a very fun night on May 1! It was great to see The Ballad of Sloth Shot on the big screen one more time, and I learned a lot and met some great people at the industry panels the following day.

The next few months will be spent waiting on festival submissions, and the movie will be live on YouTube some time this fall. In the meantime, a couple of new film projects beckon… ✍️

It was a great day with great company as The Ballad of Sloth Shot made its debut at the Comox Valley International Film Festival. We got into another festival! The Ballad of Sloth Shot will be playing at the Short Circuit Film Festival’s Victoria screening in early May! Thanks to for having us and putting on a great festival for almost 15 years.

Short Circuit is pleased to kick off our 2026 Vancouver Island Tour with a co-presentation of three local short films in the “Best of the Island and Beyond” program at the Comox Valley International Film Festival!
