Uplifting Leaders through Executive Coaching and Cultivating Safe Spaces

I was really honored to be invited by the Restorative Justice Association of BC (RJABC) to the Provincial Symposium to present a Cultivating Safe Spaces (CSS) workshop. One of many impactful moments, was joining 3 CSS Facilitators (.loyer.poll Lindsay Poll (Loyer) , Karen Milstein-McKinnon & Shelley Saje Ricci MBA ) in meaningful and encouraging conversations around our work. This gathering provides an opportunity to share insights on cultivating inclusive, respectful environments and deepening our commitment to restorative practices. Events like this are essential for building stronger, more compassionate communities. Thank you RJABC. ❤️

Cultivating Safe Spaces Conference is a transformational experience of healing and connection. I’m so grateful to be sharing “Cultivating Safe Spaces in HR (Human Relationships)” and to be learning along side other leaders working towards a better, more loving world, starting with our internal relationship with ourselves.
“Cultivating Safe Spaces is a coming of age framework. Coming of age is about being able to regulate yourself, no matter what space you’re in….coming of age means you know who you are.” -

Cultivating Safe Spaces is rooted in the foundational work of self understanding and self reflection. You can’t cultivate safe spaces, if you aren’t one. These are some excellent questions to ask anyone working on a team from a place of struggle and feeling stuck in the cycle.
Internal self-awareness
What emotions are you experiencing?
What are you assuming about another person or the situation?
What are the facts vs. interpretations?
What are your core values, and how might they be impacting your reactions?
External self-awareness
What are you doing in team meetings that is helpful?
What are you doing that is not helpful?
If you could change one part of how you interact with the team, what would it be?
Take personal responsibility and a collaborative approach to problem solving.

“Knowledge is no good if you don’t share it.” - Elaine Alec
Following this wisdom, I’m trying to practice bravery and share some of the knowledge, frameworks, and tools that have supported me in this 1 hour webinar. I hope you find it uplifting, supportive, nurturing and healing. ❤️
Coaching Towards Cultivating Safe Spaces
Let’s take a coach approach to Cultivating Safe Spaces together. Guided by Elaine Alec’s Cultivating Safe Spaces, we’ll discuss activities, frameworks and skills that support the practices of understanding yourself, responding with love-based practices, and having the patience and discipline to unlearn common approaches to the way we generate unhealthy and unsafe spaces. These conditions support wellness, inclusion, freedom and validation for yourself, and everyone in your circle. Robyn will include wisdom from Gabor Máte, Brene Brown and others, that like Elaine Alec, have spent a lifetime supporting healing and genuine connection.

🌲Happy Growing Everyone! 🌲
According to recent research at Stanford University by Dr. Dwerk, the number one indicator of success is a growth mindset. (Not income, talent or IQ.)
“Individuals who believe their talents can be developed (through hard work, good strategies, and input from others) have a growth mindset. They tend to achieve more than those with a more fixed mindset (those who believe their talents are innate gifts). This is because they worry less about looking smart and put more energy into learning. “
“It’s hard work, but individuals and organizations can gain a lot by deepening their understanding of growth-mindset concepts and how to put them into practice. It gives them a richer sense of who they are, what they stand for, and how they want to move forward.”

A friendly reminder from the International Coaching Federation, to check in with yourself, and your energy and plan to recharge before the battery is empty. It’s not selfish, it’s human care, required to continue the important work you do. ❤️
