Traditional creative writing classes don't work for everyone. I'm an experienced writer with an MFA, and I still struggle to participate in them! Through my teaching and psychiatric background, I learned this is a common issue for neurodivergent, vulnerable folks AND those who aren't confident in their writing skills. I launched Write It First to offer an alternative model: no pressure, no sharing, just show up and write for yourself.
