Female bodies are not sites of exploitation! Veganism is also a feminist issue!

On International Women's Day (March 8) and everyday, we stand in solidarity with all women, girls, and female individuals of all species! This year, we continue to raise awareness about the dairy industry, which sits prominently at the intersection of colonialism, speciesism, and the commodification of mothers/female bodies.

As part of our dairy truth outreach, we will be inviting pedestrians to watch a short video about the brutal realities of animal agriculture and the dairy industry, and giving away delicious milkless chocolate from Zimt, a local ethical vegan chocolatier.

Plant-based consumerism doesn't save animals - this idea that we often encounter in vegan spaces is naive at best, and a manifestation of a vegan hero complex at worst.

Boycotts alone will not bring forward liberation for all if veganism continues to be viewed as a personal consumerist endeavour, rather than a part of a larger anti-oppression framework.

Community, come join us this Saturday afternoon for outreach for animals 🕊️✨ We will be showing a short video about common practices on a consent-based approach. You don't need to have experience in vegan outreach or activism to join us.

We promote a total liberation framework and include animals and all oppressed in our struggles towards liberation for all.

Our next general meeting is happening this Saturday evening. Join us, get connected with community and plan events for Total Liberation - Human Freedom, Animal Rights, Earth Liberation! ✊🌍

Animals are sentient with a capacity to feel joy, pain, sadness, and all many different emotions and sensations. They are individuals in their own right, expressing, voicing, and experiencing the world on their own terms. They are mothers, fathers, and our teachers and friends, not our property.

Animal-based experimentation and testing are often deeply unethical and oppressive, and in fact, ineffective for medical improvements. Over 90% of drugs that pass animal tests FAIL in human trials. There are better ways to go about protecting human health than this horrific non-consensual sacrifice.

Let's push to change the laws for animals in Canada and beyond! 💞🐷🐵🐶🐥🌱

We will show footage of animal agriculture industries on a consensual basis.
