BC Cancer Foundation
Proudly raising funds for BC Cancer. Life beyond cancer is within reach.
Some of the most meaningful conversations at BC Cancer Foundation start simply — with someone asking: "How do I make sure my support does something real?"
Financial advisor Sarah Pedlow puts it well: talk directly with the charity you're considering. Ask the questions. Understand the options.
At BC Cancer Foundation, we're here for exactly that conversation — to share how donor investment has funded research that exists in B.C. because of this community, and to help you explore how your gift can be part of what comes next.
Breakthrough research. Earlier detection. Better treatments for people and families across B.C. — made possible by donors who chose to give in a lasting way.

For years, Richard Hewitt supported cancer research — but it took a personal loss to shift how he thought about donating.
After learning more about legacy giving, Richard made the decision to include BC Cancer Foundation in his will — ensuring that future breakthroughs in cancer care can continue while honouring the people who meant the most to him.
Through the fund he created in his partner Lee’s name, his ongoing support and legacy gift, Richard is helping turn loss into lasting impact and hope for others facing cancer.

A daughter’s love is turning into life-changing impact.
After losing her dad, Lawrence, to a rare cancer called paraganglioma, Alexia Greco is bringing her community together for “Lawrence’s Drive for a Cure” — a golf tournament and fundraiser supporting BC Cancer Foundation.
Rare cancers like this are often overlooked and underfunded. But thanks to donor support, researchers like Dr. Brandon Bernard are making real progress, improving how these cancers are found, tracked and treated.
Every dollar raised helps move this work forward and gives families more answers, more options and more hope.
