Guess who is slowly making a comeback?!
After my first knee surgery I have been quietly plugging away at a few smaller projects. I did not realize how challenging it would be to work leather while rehabbing, but little by little I kept at it.
As I wait for my second surgery to give my knees their second chance at life, I have been dreaming up new ideas and fresh designs. I was incredibly blessed to be gifted a Tippmann Boss manual sewing machine and I have been learning the ropes and getting it dialed in.
Tonight it officially kicked off my next purse project and I am so excited about it. It feels really good to be creating again.
Stay tuned to see what this turns into.

Throwback to my first leather project. 4 years ago today was a great starting point. I’ve come a long way since then.

It’s been quite a year of ups and downs. Years of waiting for surgery, and plenty of time spent digging deep into my leather work along the way. Healing is going well, and I’m already looking ahead to getting back to the bench in 2026.
I’ll be heading into a second surgery for my left knee this spring, and then it’s clear sailing from there. I’m excited to start placing my work in stores and connecting with more of you to help bring your ideas to life.

A quick update from the workshop at Twisted Path Leather.
I had surgery on November 6th, and while the path has definitely been… well, twisted, I’m healing up strong. Every day I’m gaining a little more strength, but I’m not quite ready to get back to the bench and the tools just yet.
I don’t have a firm return date, but trust that I’m working hard to get back to crafting the pieces you love. As always, thank you for your patience, support, and for walking this path with me. I can’t wait to fire up the tools again soon.
Well friends, the time has come for my grand hardware upgrade — Knee 2.0! (Round one)
After years of limping, wincing, and swearing at stairs, I’m officially heading into total knee replacement surgery on November 6th!
I have to put leather production on pause, Think of it as a short maintenance period before I’m back, bionic and better than ever.
Here’s to smoother steps, fewer creaks, and maybe even riding some horses later next year!
See you all on the flip side of recovery! 🦵✨
The bench has been busy—new designs taking shape alongside orders ready to head out into the world. Each piece begins as leather with a history, and through hours of cutting, stitching, and careful finishing, it transforms into something new.
But it’s more than craft. Every bag carries a little piece of me—the time, care, and heart poured into its making. Seeing these creations travel across this big, beautiful country and become part of someone else’s story is the most humbling part of it all.

Sometimes it’s fun to switch things up
You all know me for purses these days, but did you know I also take on custom projects? These two belts are fresh off the bench — one with a beautiful wilderness scene, the other rocking a bold two-tone braid.
Custom orders are some of my favorite pieces to make because they let me mix your vision with my craft. Whether you want something rustic, colorful, or totally unique, I love bringing those ideas to life in leather. These belts are off to some cool kids I know for their birthdays!
If you’ve got an idea waiting to be made, let’s talk — commissions are open!

A big, heartfelt thank-you to the fine folks for joining me on this journey—keeping old, broken, unsellable saddles out of the landfill and giving them a second ride. Picked up my first haul from them and look forward to spending more time collaborating with them in the future!
These pieces hold so many stories of adventures down dusty trails open fields and over many hurdles. Now, I have the chance to breathe new life into them and give them a second chance —turning well-worn leather into something you can carry with pride and purpose.
Every scuff, every mark… a whisper of where it’s been. And now, a promise of where it’s going.

It starts with a good scrub.
Before the cutting, stitching, or shaping begins, there's the deep clean. I gently remove years of built-up grime from well-loved tack—preserving the character, while prepping it for its next adventure. It's not glamorous, but it's part of the magic.
