On February 27th, The FLNR Chilliwack District Office hosted a breakfast to celebrate 100 years of the Forest Service. Attendees included both past and present Forest Service employees. Breakfast was held in “Fire Camp” style with eating tents and propane heaters. The best part of the day was the reconnecting with the history, sharing stories from the microphone and reconnecting with people who share the same passion for the Forest Service family.

Fantastic day with hundreds of the public stropping to have a good look at K-26, and almost depleted our entire stock of ballons and stickers for the kids. Meet many nice people including a fellow from England who was in town for just a few hours on a break from his train trip. He is restoring an British Version of the same 1931 Model 'A' Ford and took tons of photos and documented many details that he has to fabricate for his restoration.
CAM JAMMERS ~ LUMBY BC DAYS JULY 15, 2012
We had a great time at this weekend's Lumby Days Community Celebrations at which the Vernon Cam Jammers have their three day Rod Run with Show n' Shine.
There were no award classes for other than Street Rods, Customs and Muscle Cars. The litte truck was very well received by the public including several old Forest Service guys and we gave out quite a few brochures on Unit K-26.
Next weekend were off to the All Ford & Mustang car show in Kelowna!
