Work–life balance?
Yeah… that cute little myth they sold us so we’d stay quiet while juggling flaming swords, carpool, deadlines, and emotional labour none of us asked for.
The truth? There’s no perfect balance — just you, deciding what gets your energy today without apologizing for it. Some days you’re the CEO. Some days you’re the chauffeur. Some days you’re the woman who simply needs a minute to breathe and eat a snack alone in the car.
My “balance” isn’t a scale.
It’s a rhythm.
A season.
A choice.
And honestly? I’m done pretending it’s supposed to look pretty. This is the real-life choreography of an Asian mom building an empire — messy, intentional, and absolutely unstoppable.

Rest easy, Dr. Jane Goodall — the woman who walked into the wild and changed the world without ever needing to roar.
She passed peacefully in her sleep on October 1, 2025 — but let’s be real, legends like her don’t really go. They echo. Jane wasn’t just a scientist with a notebook; she was a force of nature who proved that curiosity, empathy, and a little rebellion can shake the entire system.
When the world said, “You can’t,” she went into the jungle and showed them exactly how it’s done — heels traded for boots, grace mixed with grit, and a purpose that outlived the noise.
She taught us that being gentle doesn’t mean being small, and that one woman with conviction can rewrite what’s possible.
Thank you, Jane — for showing us that power doesn’t have to shout to be heard.
With great sadness, the Jane Goodall Institute confirmed this morning the passing of the organization’s founder, Dr. Jane Goodall, age 91 who died peacefully in her sleep while in Los Angeles, CA for her speaking tour in the United States.
Dr. Goodall’s life and work not only made an indelible mark on our understanding of chimpanzees and other species, but also of humankind and the environments we all share. She inspired curiosity, hope and compassion in countless people around the world, and paved the way for many others — particularly young people who gave her hope for the future.
In 1960 Dr. Goodall established the longest running wild chimpanzee study in Gombe National Park, Tanzania which continues to this day. She pioneered and sustained the Jane Goodall Institute’s community-centered conservation initiatives across the chimpanzee range for over four decades. Her legacy includes the creation of JGI’s international environmental and humanitarian youth program Roots & Shoots, which is actively driving change in 75 countries and counting around the world.

L.A. wasn’t just a trip; it was a love letter to the version of me that once chased adventure without hesitation. I can still feel the hotel sheets wrapped around me, the moonlight spilling through the window like an old friend, the ocean teasing my toes as I strolled Venice Beach.
I went searching for someone, and in between the neon lights and quiet mornings, I found her—me. The kind of me who whispers secrets to the night and lets the world romance her back.
Some memories are worth reliving. And some? They’re just the beginning.

"___________ is an easy job. Even I can do it," is not the right thing to say to someone who's studied, work, live, breathe and dream their craft. I've paid for course after course just to make sure I stay current in the industry, and continue to read up on the ever changing industry landscape.
