Bringing History to Life

The Red River Cart was an essential method of transport for Métis families, used from the 1800s to haul goods across the Prairies. Ours is built authentically—wood, leather, zero metal—just like the originals !

Leave a comment if you’ve seen one in real life or at a museum!

July 1st means something different to everyone. For some, it’s a fun day off. For others, it’s a chance to celebrate the place we call home—and for many, it’s a moment to reflect on the layers of history this land holds: the beauty, the struggle, and everything in between.

🌾 At Krtti, we spend the day honouring our family and the history that continues to shape us. However you recognize the day, we hope it brings you closer to what matters most

🌾 These carts are a labour of love. Built by hand, one piece at a time, it’s a blend of old methods and modern craftsmanship.
