Joint mobilization involves slow, controlled, and sustained movements applied to a joint to help reduce pain, ease stiffness, and improve mobility.
This video demonstrates thoracic spine mobilizations in both seated and lying positions, but mobilization can be used throughout the body. Unlike a chiropractic adjustment, which uses a quick, shallow thrust, mobilizations are slower, deeper, and more sustained.
They may help people with joint stiffness or movement-related discomfort, but may not be appropriate for certain acute injuries, fractures, significant instability, or other underlying conditions. The technique is selected following an individual assessment.

One of the biggest misconceptions about therapy is that your therapist is supposed to have all the answers. The goal isn't to fix youāit's to help you better understand yourself, recognize unhelpful patterns, and create space for meaningful change. Because the most lasting growth comes from what you discover along the way.
