At the Beijing premiere of THE FURIOUS, the main stars Xie Miao and his movie daughter, Yang Enyou (was 10 when filming the movie), recreated the cover of the classic, THE NEW LEGEND OF SHAOLIN (1994) starring Jet Li and a 10 yr old, Xie Miao 💯🔥

90s Xie Miao, was on his way to a superstar career but stepped away at the height of his fame to finish school. Ironically, it was advice from Chow Yun-Fat and his parents to go to university.

30 years later, mini star, Xie Miao is back at the top of his game again, in, THE FURIOUS! (2026) 💯👏

This and SNAKE IN THE EAGLE’S SHADOW, were they the most memorable Master and student duo in kung fu cinema?

Keeping it on Sir Roger Moore’s THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (1974), Yuen Qiu, aka the landlady (see previous post), had much support on set from other Hong Kong actors and stunt guys:

Chin Yuet-Sang (Righting Wrongs)

Badass babe, Yuen Qiu aka The Landlady was 24 but looked 16, when she played Nara, the Bond girl, in THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN (1974).

Interviewer, Sandra Ng said, “Oh, so you rescued Roger Moore, but not go to bed with him.”

Yuen Qiu: “I wanted to… but at that time, I couldn’t even speak English…”

“Ah haha s*x scene you definitely wouldn’t need to know English haha.”

“I knew 3 words at the time: Hello, Bye-Bye and GOOD! lol”
