Quick photo tip for more creative photos.
Regardless of what camera you're using, whether it's a top of the line DSLR or an iPhone, a tip that will make your photos look more creative than everyone else's photos, is to change your perspective. Either get down real low, or real elevated.
In this photo example, I'm having a delicious alcoholic beverage with my wife at a pretty awesome bar in Chicago. Most people would take a pic with the camera at eye level with the subject. I find that rather boring. I prefer to bring my camera at table level, with some drinks in the foreground. This makes for a more interesting and creative image.
Try it out, next time you're out with friends or family, and show me your results.
