My name is Kwadwo Asarfo-Adjei. I’m a music lover, but I have an extremely strong affinity and love for acapella music. From an early age, I have developed a deep connection to the art of vocal harmonization, drawn to the intricate layers and rich melodies that can be created using only the human voice.

My acapella journey began when I would listen to my parents’ quartet group practice. The genesis of my vocal harmonization began with a group called Faith For Today. I went on to join the Toronto youth and church choirs, where I honed my skills in pitch accuracy, vocal control, and arrangement.

I was privileged to have been part of “New Life Quartet”, where I had the opportunity to sing with, and learn from great musicians. Being a part of the above groups allowed me to become increasingly dedicated to the craft, often experimenting with different styles and incorporating diverse influences into performances and ministrations.

It has been an honour to sing with Maple Music due to the distinctive voices and abilities of all these great musicians to blend harmonies seamlessly. I’m positive the next chapter in our music journey will be amazing, and will ultimately be to the Glory of God. May God use Maple Music to touch lives through acapella music.

My name is Kwame Amponsah-Gyan, and music has always been a part of my life. Growing up in Ghana, I was deeply inspired by the rich harmonies of Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) quartet music. That early love for harmony led me from choral singing to discovering my true passion a ca****la.

I began my a ca****la journey by founding The Pioneers at my local church in Kumasi. Later, I co-founded Vocal Path in Accra, where we released two albums and shared our music both in Ghana and beyond. One of my closest collaborators was Joel Aidoo, and together we helped shape the group’s identity and growth.

Now based in Canada, Joel and I have continued this journey through Maple Acapella, where I’m proud to serve as president. Our goal is simple: to spread God’s love through music. As a first tenor, I enjoy the beauty of voices coming together to create something greater than ourselves.

Beyond music, I’m a husband and a father, and my family continues to be my biggest source of inspiration. As I lead Maple Acapella, I look forward to the future and the lives we hope to touch through the power of harmony.

My name is Joel Aidoo, and music has always been my greatest passion. From a young age, I developed a deep love for a ca****la and choral music, which has shaped both my personal and professional journey.

My musical career began with The Larks A Ca****la, where my vocal talents were recognized. This led me to Vocal Path, where I served as Music Director and Composer, honing my vocal and composition skills.

Currently, I am the Music Director of Maple A Ca****la in Canada, leading and shaping the group’s musical direction. Being part of this talented ensemble has been a fulfilling experience.

Beyond performance and composition, I am passionate about teaching. I founded a music school in Ghana, training aspiring musicians in vocal techniques and music theory, particularly in a ca****la and choral music. Many of my students have gone on to pursue successful musical careers.

As a composer and arranger, I have written original pieces for a ca****la groups in Ghana and beyond, contributing to the global a ca****la community.

Looking back, music has opened incredible doors, built lasting connections, and enriched my life in ways I never imagined. As I continue my journey with Maple A Ca****la, I pray that our harmonies will uplift and inspire people worldwide.

I’m Kwadwo Badu, though my friends affectionately call me Kay Bee. I’m currently single.

Throughout my life, I’ve crossed paths with various acapella groups. For example, my older brother is an acapella singer, but I’ve always leaned towards choral music and particularly the traditional Ghanaian Adventist style, often performing pieces by Alex Acheampong of the Young Missionaries

However, my love for choral music took a bit of switch when the concept of forming Maple Acapella came to life. I couldn’t resist the allure of collaborating with talented friends like Joel, Dan Soulful, Kwame Gyan, Joe, Steve Ntiamoah, and Ernest, who all boast impressive backgrounds in acapella music.

Presently, I take on multiple roles: I primarily sing the main melody, sometimes filling in as the first bass and even main bass singer when needed. I’m also the group’s organizer and genuinely enjoy taking on the ‘errand boy’ responsibilities in our group.

It’s a true joy to perform alongside these esteemed figures in the acapella scene.

Stay tuned for our exciting adventures ahead!

Hello there! You can call me Steve Legend, but many know me as Steve Boat the creative mind behind works like Togu, Christless, and co-writer of Okokroko, among others.

I’m fortunate to share my life with Tilly Boat, and together we’ve been blessed with three wonderful children.

My journey into the world of acapella began at the thrilling launch of the New Era Acapella’s first album in 1997, paving the way for me to establish the Amazing Grace Acapella group of Tafo APS just a year later.

After some time, I transitioned to performing gospel highlife music solo.

However, I soon discovered I was grappling with a serious condition called ‘acapellaisis.’ This affliction stems from a veteran acapella singer’s bloodstream running low on that true acapella harmonies.

My path to recovery from ‘acapellaisis’ began when I joined Maple Acapella at its inception in 2024.

In this vibrant group, I sing first bass while also taking on the responsibilities of Graphic Designer and Program Coordinator.

I encourage you to keep an eye on our upcoming endeavors in the years ahead.

Wishing you a fantastic day!
