When M & J reached out, they expressed that they wanted to feel the candidness in their photos. I remember one of the expressions they used in our initial chat was “an authentic flow”

Another thing that was really important to them was to make sure the fashion and the people from both cultures were well represented. One of the main ways to accomplish this was to make sure that the colours and skin tones - 👰🏻 on the full spectrum 🤵🏾‍♂️- were represented well.

From the planning of the engagement shoot all the way to the wedding reception, the team and I have enjoyed working with worked with M & J‘s fresh ideas, staying away from cliché locations and traditions that they didn’t value.

The results so far, from their engagement shoot and these wedding teasers, is a vibrant collection of photos, rich in emotions, and a beautiful showcase of the merger of both their families cultures. And we’re all here for it!

When C&P explained their vision, I was excited. They wanted something more elevated than just “photos in the park“.

They wanted something a bit more refined with an editorial feel. But at the same time, they wanted to have a balance of candid and fun moments too. I immediately understood the assignment.

After some searching, we settled on this beautiful location in Hamilton. We arrived during the peak of the sunset light, and the rest is history.

It was amazing making magic with everyone involved.

I’ve been doing events for so long and I still get butterflies the night before every wedding.

This is partly from the nerves of wanting to execute the day excellence. But another part is the excitement to spend the day with souls I’ve been bonding with for months and months prior.

Tonight is no exception as I pack the last few times for D & E’s tomorrow.
