“Nakhzi! I am Jackie, and recently, I have taken an interest in Israel’s diversification and culture. As a Bukharian Jew, I have come to appreciate the various cultural traditions within Israel, which has strengthened my appreciation for a multi-cultural state. OLAM truly appeals to me because I would love to meet with others who can share their unique perspectives and experiences of Israel, while displaying an accepting attitude towards different faiths. I am excited to embark upon all of the amazing opportunities that OLAM has to offer!”

OLAM is at the Project Gratitude Dinner this evening. Project Gratitude is a student led initiative aimed at bringing students together to discuss the positive value of gratitude, by recognizing some of the unsung heroes of our campus.

"My name is Malcolm, a first year student at the University of Toronto, St. George Campus. I'm in the midst of a double major in Psychology and Political Science with my ultimate goal being to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology. As a non-Jew, the Jewish people, Israel & Israel Advocacy hold a special place in my heart. I have a unique perspective that allows me to understand the need for strong passionate advocacy on behalf of Israel. In a world filled with darkness, Israel shines a bright light and it is my hope that through continued work with OLAM, that I can share that vision of Israel with both Jewish and Non-Jewish students to help foster an ultimate goal of peace and unity."
