Fraser Health is alerting clients of Dutta Health Centre Ayurvedic Clinic in Surrey (the “Dutta Clinic”) to discard any ayurvedic products they purchased from the Dutta Clinic as some have been tested and found to contain higher than acceptable levels of heavy metals (including lead and mercury) or are not licensed as natural health products by Health Canada. Products sold by the Dutta Clinic could pose serious health risks.

Warning: Do not try to remove Giant hogweed on your own without full body and face protection. This noxious plant causes 3rd degree burns, leaves permanent scars, and can reappear in soil if it isn't removed properly. Follow these steps to get rid of giant hogweed: 1. If found on your property, hire an exterminator to remove it. 2. If found in a park, call your city or town. 3. If you are unsure, contact your provincial government office.

Giant Hogweed Plants can reach 15ft high. They are easily spotted by their white, umbrella-like flowers. Do not let children or animals play near known hogweed spots! Touching the plants causes near 3rd degree burns and can leave permanent scars.
