I was texting today with one of my oldest friends (old as in longest, not age) and we were both enjoying the new Anthrax single and saying how nutty it is that NĂ¼ Metal was ever a thing but also that the most of the best metal music is behind us. Almost all of my favourite bands are from the 70's and 80's.
I'll list mine. For the purposes of this new Old Metal t -shirt that'll almost (Jen willing) become a thing I'm only posting metal bands.
No one ever read or comments on what I wrote here but I'd be interested in everyone else's faves.
Old Metal-
Slayer
Exodus
Celtic Frost
Dark Angel
Sacrifice
Death
Black Sabbath/Ozzy
Mercyful Fate
Later metal-
High on Fire
Tool
Mastodon

This is such an amazing combination. The shelves are heavily curled hard maple, lovingly paired with oversized macassar ebony legs. It's actually not that heavy compared to some of the other racks I've been posting lately. I haven't weighed it yet but I'll guess it's between 140-150lbs.
(68kgs).
Zoom in on the shelves.

Am I the only one who likes looking at one of their bikes when listening to music?
