🐾 Cora Update 🐾

We’re thrilled to share that Cora is doing well in foster care! She’s gaining weight and confidence every day, and while she still has a long road ahead, she’s blossoming into the beautiful girl we always knew she was. 💕

Sadly, the lovely couple who hoped to adopt her are no longer able to … their housing association won’t allow a second dog. They’re devastated, but they’ve stayed in Cora’s corner and even donated toward her heartworm treatment. 🙏

Her current foster placement is ending soon, and we’d hate for Cora to return to the shelter. So we’re searching for an experienced foster who can offer her patience, calm, and a soft place to keep healing. Could that be you? Please share to help us spread the word!

We’re also working to get Cora the fast-kill heartworm treatment she needs. Thanks to a generous donation, we’re almost there — we just need $300 more to make it happen. Every dollar counts. 💕

We are in need of Plastic Clipboards for our shelter kennels. (We zip tie them on)
This is where we hold our kennel cards for our adoption animals so our staff and adopters can identify our animals easily.

The aim is to get 50 for now. Please share and help if you can.

Two dogs. The same broken heart. And a team that won’t quit on them. 🤎

Audrey and Dominic both have a heart defect called a PDA … and both need surgery to survive. The good news? The odds are strong, and surgery could give them what every dog deserves: a full, normal life.

We’ve been overwhelmed by the support. An organisation in the U.S. is working to send a specialist team to The Bahamas, and our Canadian rescue partners have foster places ready if we go that route. Every door has opened wider than we dared hope. So blessed 🥹

Audrey now has a foster home here on the island. 💛 Dominic still needs one.
