For 3,000 years our ancestors have marked the arrival of spring. Nowruz means “New Day” and it is celebrated on the vernal equinox when the earth officially enters spring.

This new year arrives uncertainty, and a longing for better days for many Iranians. We think about them and all those celebrating this New Year, hoping it brings them light, love and healing.

This tradition reminds us of who we are: an ancient people, with deep spiritual roots in the land we come from and we will continue to carry this forward no matter where we are.
