14th Annual Stouffville Tamil Heritage Month Celebration
The Stouffville Tamils’ Association proudly hosted its 14th Annual Tamil Heritage Month Celebration on January 30 at Stouffville District Secondary School. The evening beautifully showcased the richness of Tamil arts and culture through vibrant vocal and instrumental music, inspiring speeches, and engaging drama performances.
The celebration welcomed over 600 community members and distinguished guests, including the Mayor of Stouffville, town councillors, and representatives from Markham Stouffville Hospital, the Stouffville Chamber of Commerce, the Stouffville Fire Department, the Stouffville Lions Club, and the York Region District School Board.
Two ceremonial cheques to the Tamil Community Centre — $25,000 from Mr. Thass Shanmugalingam and $10,000 from the Vasan Family (Law Office of Laxmi Vasan and Vasan Law Professional Corporation) were presented at the event.
Heartfelt thanks to our guests, talented performers, dedicated music, dance, drama, and yoga teachers, generous sponsors, and the York Region District School Board for their continued support in making this celebration a wonderful success.
