In 2018 the EU agreed to completely ban Neonicotinoid pesticides, a common pesticide used in agriculture that is killing bees. In the same year, the Canadian Government outright rejected the ban, and disregarded the health of the bees and it's citizens who depend on them. Later they conducted tests to see firsthand the level of damage these pesticides were causing and were able to make changes, but there are still areas in the world where these pesticides are used.

Without bees, our standard of life will decline heavily. There is so much that we need to do to bring our world back to sustainability, but there is no point in planning a perfect future if we don't have one in the first place. So, let's start here, and see just how far we can get.
