Children and families living in Toronto and surrounding areas between the ages of 2-21 yrs., in most cases. What services are offered? Family training and Support:
Parent Coaching,
Toilet Training,
Sleep Training and quality bedtime routines, Behaviour coaching: i.e. compliance, disciplining using motivators and rewards, constructive time-outs, healthy transitions, cooperative play, Divorce/Separ
ation family coaching and support,
Adopted Family coaching and support
Special Needs: Treatment Programs for children with Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Behavioral Disorders; Autism Spectrum Disorder, Aspergers, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, Sensory Processing Disorder, Epilepsy, Gifted Disorder, Mental Health Disorders and those undiagnosed. Therapies implemented:
- Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA)
- Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI)
- Play and Social Skill Strategies from Floortime and RDI
- Sensory Integration therapy (prescribed/designed by an OT i.e. OT Sensory Diet, Body Breaks, Behaviour Protocols which match the sensory need of the child).
- Biomedical Treatment support (referral to Naturopath's or Funcional Medicine doctors where necessary + support as needed)
Where is ECMI located? Toronto, Ontario
Treatment is led in the homes and community environments of each client. Keeping therapy within the home reduces transitons, helps maintain parent involvement and improved therapeutic outlined through a familiar, comfortable setting and reduced generalization demands (since skills are taught in the natural settting). Therapy hours: from 4-30 hours of week involving an individualized multidisciplinary framework. Remote Services are available through Zoom.
