And during it all ... one thing was clear: More women in the room. That's the next chapter.

What a wonderful Friday in the Big Apple!! 🗽🍎 🇺🇸

I spent part of the day at Bitcoin for Corporations, where I was an eyewitness 👀to big conversations between some of the brightest brains in BTC. 🚀

The other half of my day? Meetings on Wall Street. 💼

And guess what? On the way out I walked right into Fearless Girl! 💪👯‍♀️

If you don’t know her: she’s a bronze statue by sculptor Kristen Visbal that is known as a symbol of female empowerment, gender diversity in corporate leadership, and the courage to challenge industries that weren’t built with us gals in mind.

And honestly? That’s exactly why running into her after a day of Bitcoin talk and high-powered blockchain meetings felt so perfect. 🤩

At its core, Bitcoin (and blockchain) is about freedom: freedom from gatekeepers, freedom to own what’s yours, freedom to opt out of systems that were never built for you.

It’s the same freedom upon our country was founded. So, with July Fourth and our 250th just around the corner, it made the day so relevant to me.

Our forefathers broke away to build something new on their own terms. Satoshi (the anonymous creator of BTC) did the same thing, handing the world a way to take back control of our money, no permission needed. And Fearless Girl stands there every day reminding us that the boldest move is to plant your feet and refuse to be left out. 👯‍♀️

That’s why I’m so determined to build a pathway to get more women into Bitcoin and blockchain … this freedom belongs to all of us, and I want to make sure women (who are underrepresented in BTC and blockchain) aren’t watching this revolution from the sidelines, but standing right there alongside our amazing male counterparts, building this future together. 💁‍♀️☺️

A full day of talking about the future of finance, and then running into her on Wall Street? 😄 Couldn’t have scripted it better. (Got my selfie, too. 😃)

The future is unstoppable.
