Team UNBREAKABLE is a non-profit organization focused on supporting youth mental health.

We offer programs that promote physical activity and mindful self-management strategies, while stressing the critical link between physical and mental health. The Unbreakable Run Program is improving youth mental health through raising awareness and through health promotion (getting / keeping kids healthy) when delivered in schools, community organizations, and youth groups; and, through therapy when delivered in a clinical setting.

Family Day is a reminder that support matters — especially on hard days.

Whether it’s running, walking, or just being there,
having someone beside you can make challenges feel lighter.

That’s what we focus on at Team Unbreakable:
movement as a way to build connection, confidence, and care.💙

🧠💪 Did You Know? Running Uses More Muscles Than You Think

Your body has over 600 muscles — and when you go for a run, you’re not just moving your legs.

🏃‍♂️ Running activates more than 200 muscles throughout your body, including:
• Legs and glutes to push you forward
• Core muscles to keep you balanced and upright
• Arm and shoulder muscles to support rhythm and momentum
• Even small stabilizing muscles that help with posture and coordination

That means every run is a full-body effort, not just a physical workout for your legs.

✨ And here’s the Team Unbreakable part:
When your body is working together, your brain is too — helping build focus, confidence, and resilience one step at a time.

So the next time a run feels hard, remember:
Your body is doing a lot — and that’s something to be proud of 💙

Why do you run? 👟💙

For us, it’s not just about fitness.
It’s about clearing our minds, building healthy routines, and feeling present in the moment.
It’s about connecting with us and with the people running beside us.

At Team Unbreakable, running supports both mental and physical well-being, creating space for belonging, growth, and support — one step at a time.

💬 We’d love to hear from you:
Why do you run?

Running isn’t just physical, it’s mental too.

Mid-run doubts happen to everyone.
"I’m so tired."
"Maybe I should stop."
"What if I can’t do this?"

Noticing those thoughts is the powerful first step. From there, we can practice shifting them gently.

Try a kinder reframe next time you’re running:
"I’ll go just a little farther."
"One step at a time."
"I can do hard things."

That mindset shift matters, on the run and beyond. 💙

💙 Move. Rest. Thrive 💙

The Canadian 24-Hour Movement Guidelines remind us that health isn’t just about exercise — it’s about how we move, sleep, and recover across the whole day.

At Team Unbreakable, we believe movement is more than fitness; it’s a tool for mental well-being, connection, and resilience. Whether it’s running with friends, moving for fun, or simply building healthy daily routines, every step counts.

You don’t need to be fast. You don’t need to be perfect.

You just need to show up for yourself one day at a time 💪✨

At Team Unbreakable, our leaders use the TREE framework—Teaching, Rules, Environment, and Equipment—to make every run welcoming, flexible, and youth-centred. By providing guidance, removing pressure around pace or performance, creating supportive spaces, and keeping equipment expectations accessible, our leaders help youth build confidence, connection, and resilience—one step at a time. 🏃 🏃‍♀️💙

Running slow is still running.
Walking breaks are still part of the run.
Stopping early doesn’t erase what you did.
There’s no “wrong” pace — only your pace.

Some days, you just don’t feel like running—and that’s OK. 💙

Low motivation days don’t mean you’re lazy or failing.
They’re part of being human.

On days like this, it’s enough to:
✔️ take a short walk
✔️ stretch a little
✔️ rest and listen to your body

You don’t have to run every day to be unbreakable.
Showing yourself kindness still counts. 🏃🏃‍♀️ 🧠

🫀 Did you know running can actually reshape your heart?

When you run regularly, your heart adapts in healthy ways to keep up with your movement. Over time, it becomes stronger and more efficient, pumping more blood with each beat and not needing to work as hard at rest.

These changes don’t happen overnight; they come from consistent, enjoyable movement, one run at a time.

At Team Unbreakable, we believe running isn’t about speed or distance; it’s about building strong hearts, resilient minds, and a supportive community.
👟 Move at your pace
🤝 Move together
🫀 Move for your heart

As the new year begins, we’re thinking less about big promises and more about small, meaningful habits.

And just a reminder: you can start at any moment. 💙
