This page is what I use as my personal, digital, portfolio. I am a craft artist of basically everything. Clothing, toys, quilts, home decor and a handful of other things. I focus mainly on textile crafts, but I won't typically shy away from other mediums if I can get my hands on it. I make a few things to keep on hand for "stock" in my web store (currently living at ImAtTheSoup.store) although mos

My kids are all home since the board cancelled buses today for whatever ice we’re getting. They asked for McDonald’s, and I didn’t have a car or the funds to get them happy meals, so we made McDonald’s at home. Babby helped me to make the boxes and bags, then they came to order at my walk up window in their play castle.

I knit up these gloves for a friend of mine with a habit of losing her gloves on transit. I’m hoping the fingers are long enough, because even thought I had her come over (it’s just upstairs for her we’re neighbours) to trace her hand for reference - the kids lost it almost immediately- and then I had her try on the test glove I made prior to finishing these last week. If they don’t end up fitting, I’ll just splice some more room into the fingers that need it, maybe just the ring and pinky fingers, maybe not.

I used skills acquired from knitting 2 At A Time socks to knit both gloves simultaneously, to ensure that the shaping and fit would match on both, and to avoid getting that dreaded “second sock” syndrome where you do one and don’t want to finish the other.

Pulled out my cricut for my most recent little crafty project. I’ve had this shirt since the premier of the first Deadpool movie, and the front logo had worn off. I finally got some time yesterday to work out a little HTV Project to replace the old despoil circle with the besties charms from the Deadpool and Wolverine promotions.

It’s not perfect, but it’s just for me. And I like it.

Mike asked if we had any extra kids eye masks lying around for a friend, I said no but ask what colours they like and I’ll sew one up for you to take back after lunch.

I have some memory quilts in the works, been slow going with 2 kids and a bit of depression pushing me into a rut. I have been working little by little trying to push myself a bit to get these done.

Working on a new pattern, that I’m hoping to turn into some apparel and accessories. Let me know if you’d like something with this crafty print. I’m still working on choosing background colours, and I’m open to suggestions.

I recently inherited my dream sewing machine, I started a clean out last night and pulled all this thread out of the motor wheels. It runs faster but still slips, so it will need a belt upgrade, some new bobbins and a bit of oil. Otherwise it’s still a working machine.

This machine is a 1933 Singer Model 99.

I also inherited a treadle frame and a janome 535 from the 1960s.

I finished the hooking last night and bound it this morning. I didn’t have the rug binding, so I just whipstitched the edges to the backing and that seems to do just fine. It’s now on the floor of the girls’ room as a mini rug, it’s I believe 20x27in
