We got such a wonderful email the other day from Finn’s family who just celebrated his one year adoptaversary! 💕

“We adopted Filet (now Finn) a year ago today and I wanted to send a quick update on just how amazingly he is doing! Since bringing him home, Finn has integrated into our home and our family fantastically. His confidence gets stronger every day and he is such a little love bug now. His nickname is Potato as he is a rolly polly fellow with a great appetite. His eyes are clear and his coat has become silky soft. He has made friends with our two other cats, Mushu and Amis, and they often play and sleep together. He also loves watching cat videos. I’ve included some photos. We love our little Finn so, so much and are so happy we adopted him! He is such a little character and a great addition to our family. Thank you again!

You all do such kind, amazing work and I thought a bit of good news would brighten your day.”

You may remember King Beetus from our previous post on his little hitchhiking maggot friends, but he was adopted from us back in October ‘22, and his new friend Lord Cynder was adopted from us back in October ‘23. They are clearly the most regal of boys! 👑

I was an intake from a colony out in Scarborough and brought in once I finally decided I should stop running away from the nice people taking care of me. I’ve quickly learned that indoor life is great! I’m an extremely affectionate boy who loves to be held and carried around, and I am definitely a lap cat. If I could crawl inside of your skin to get closer to you, I most definitely would. I can be a bit shy in new environments but it doesn’t take me long to get settled. I can be vocal when I want your attention. I am not much of a food motivated cat, although I do like my tube treats, I’d much rather have all the cuddles instead! I am a big fan of toys and laser pointers and catnip! I don’t quite know how I feel about other cats yet, I get bullied because they said I smell like a stinky boy cat. I am rather submissive and don’t fight back, so I’d likely get along well with another easy going cat, but I would also be quite happy being your one and only! P.S all the peoples said I’m super extra cute because I’m “polydactyl” and have bonus toes, but I don’t know what that means, I’m just happy for the extra attention!

Tuna & Pickles (Formerly Bowie & Lennon) 🥒🐟 also recently celebrated their two year adoptaversary back in February! Love seeing these boys all grown up and as close as ever! 🥰💕

Bandit (formerly Nimbus) was a part of the Mississauga crew who just celebrated his 1 year adoptaversary! He was ~17/18 years old when he arrived, and he’s certainly showing no signs of slowing down! He’s still extremely energetic and outgoing, and truly just out here living his best life! 🥰💕

The happy updates continue! 🥰 This time with our FeLV positive alumni!

Pixie and Sapphire got adopted a couple weeks ago and were quick to make themselves right at home! 🧡🤎

Jerry and Sparkles just celebrated their 2 year adoptaversary! The unique thing in this pair is that Sparkles (floof) is the only one who is FeLV positive, but they were extremely bonded to each other, so obviously we couldn’t separate them! Jerry has always tested negative so he stays protected with the FeLV vaccine. 🖤🤍

It’s always more difficult for FeLV positive cats to get adopted, so it’s extra special when they’re able to celebrate these milestones! 🥰💕

Happy update on our very popular boy Rotini who has settled in beautifully in his new home! He keeps his owners on their toes and requires playtime before his meals 🤣. He is very much a beloved member of the family! 💕

I was rescued from an outdoor colony and brought inside once I realized people weren’t so bad! I’m a very “typical” cat. I can be vocal when I want your attention. I love my people, I’m extremely affectionate and enjoy being picked up and carried around while I purr and make biscuits. I also am a huge fan of toys and catnip, and I’m happy to entertain myself if you’re busy! I love my food and snacks, and apparently I’ve already started to get a little pudgy 🤨. I can tolerate other cats if they respect my boundaries, and I am not a fan of dogs at all. Personally, I would much rather be your one and only.

First surgery of the New Year goes to Honey🍯 ! She had majority of her teeth extracted last year, but when she came in for her vaccines, we noticed a large amount of inflammation still present and suspect she has Stomatitis. While she was still happy to eat everything, we know Stomatitis can be a painful condition. So now Honey will ringing in the New Year toofless and pain free! 🎉🦷💕

Naku says to wake him up when the party starts (or when the snax arrives). 🥳🎉

My mom and 5 of my siblings were found roaming the streets of Toronto back in 2018. I was adopted back in February 2019 but was returned as my family was moving out of the country. I was adopted again back in 2021 and recently returned again as I was no longer compatible with my human. I can be a bit nervous in new situations, and I may hiss at you for a couple of days but I acclimate quickly! I’m an extremely sweet and affectionate girl, I love to wind and rub between your legs. I can be picked up and cuddled and I looooove head rubs! I love to play with toys, especially the wand toys! I’ve quickly decided that I do not like sharing my attention with any other cats and would very much like to be your one and only.
