The Bible says that a man will leave his father and mother and that also includes other women outside and then cling to his wife. When your boss started making passes at you why didn’t you tell your wife about it? You gave room to the devil and he came into your family. That you needed money for your mother inlaws operation is not a justification for you what you did. What happened to going on your knees praying to God to provide the money through a genuine means? And you couldn’t even tell your wife when she started blackmailing you. Why then did you marry her if you can’t open up to her. She is you and you are her. You both are one.”She said as she stared from Idris to Beauty.
“Do you know that the moment a spouse cheats against the other that the life of such fellow is turned upside down? Nothing and I mean nothing will ever go well with that person.

What happened to the popular verse in the Bible that says forgive us our trespasses just the way we forgive those who trespassed against us? Do you not know that if you should drop dead now you are going to hell because of unforgiveness? No one is perfect my dear and no one is immune to temptation.

Look, the devil is so out for marriages this time around. He knows that to get more soul he has to go through marriages because he knows marriage means alot to God and the weapon he uses is infidelity. You don’t look too happy.. Is anything the matter? Walter asked her seeing how moody she looks.

“No am not.”She replied as tears made its way down her cheeks.

“You told me earlier that if you were my husband, you will stick to me and never look outside… Well, I seem not to be enough for my husband.”She responded still in tears..
“He….. He… Che…..”She couldn’t speak anymore as she cried. Walter quickly went over to her and hugged her.

Beauty held unto him tightly as she felt comforted. Soon her cry died down. Walter broke off the hug and stared into her eyes.
Beauty was already melting under his eyes. There’s something about him that draws her to him.

“You are beautiful.”He said to her

“Thank you.”She replied with a blush
Walter quickly bend down and took her mouth into his.At first Beauty was lost and confused but soon she started responding to the kiss.
Walter who saw that Beauty was responding,started unbuttoning her shirt.

Beauty quickly realized herself as the made to unbutton the last button.

“No… I can’t do this.”She said and push him away. Walter was surprised.he thought Beauty wanted him as much as he wanted her.

“What’s wrong? Don’t you want me? He asked

“I don’t… I can’t cheat on my husband.”Beauty replied as she button up her shirt

“But he cheated on you”

“Yes he did but I will never be like him…. Am out of here.” She took her bag and stormed out of the house.

“Wait Beauty, it’s late already.”Walter said as he ran after her. Beauty didn’t stop she was bent on leaving.

“Okay. I know you want to leave but let me drop you off.”He said and Beauty stopped.

“Walter I can find my way home…. Please I don’t want to see you again. don’t call or chat me up anymore. We can never work out. Am a married women.”Beauty said and walked out of the compound.

Idris was really disturbed. He kept looking at the clock as he paced the living room.
It’s already past 9pm and his wife was not yet home. He kept calling her line but it was switched off. He knew she hadn’t decide to leave again because she can’t leave without taking the kids or her bags. He was only scared of something bad happening to her.

He decided to call her family to know if she came to the house. He dialed Emma’s number and he picked on the second ring.

“Hello good evening sir.”Emma greeted cheerfully.

“Good evening too Emma, how are you and mama doing? ”

“We are doing well sir.. Mama is perfectly okay now all thanks to you and Sister.”

“We thank God that she is okay now… Erm… Is my wife there with you guys? Idris asked

“No oh… Is she not at home?

“Yeah… But don’t worry maybe she’s held up in the traffic.”

“Okay.. Greet her for me when she comes back.”Emma said

“Alright.. My regards to mama.” He hanged up and sat down on the couch.

“where could she be?” He asked himself worriedly.

Immediately his phone rang, he quickly rushed to it thinking it’s his wife calling but he found out it’s Mrs Blessing.
He had met with her for about 3 times since he got married to the wife. He knows how close his wife is to her and how Mrs Blessing has treated his wife like her biological sister.

“Is my wife with her? He wondered.
He quickly picked the call to know what she has to say.

“Hello Mr Idris good evening.”She greeted

“Good evening too Mrs Blessing..how are you and the family?

“We are all fine, thank you.”

“Alright”

“I have been trying to reach your wife all evening and her line is switched off. Is she there with you? I want to speak to her.”Mrs Blessing said

“No MA, she not here… Infact I don’t know where she is.”

“Are you serious? What’s happening?

“I don’t know what is wrong with my wife.. I.. I cheated on her but I have pleaded and pleaded but she refused to forgive me. Is she not supposed to be a Christian? Why can’t she forgive me? Immediately Idris dropped the call Beauty entered. He quickly rushed to her excitedly.

Beauty hissed at him and walked past him.

It was 6 o’clock in the evening and Beauty was in her room grinning as she was chatting with Walter on the phone. She enjoys chatting with him that she is always glued to her phone waiting for his message.
She had made Noodles for the girls earlier and retired to her room without serving her husband any.

She giggled as she read his texted. Walter had told her he found her smile Captivating and that was what attracted him to her.

“Really…but you have a better smile than me. Your dimples shows when you smile.”She quickly texted back and waited for his reply.

“You know what? “Walter texted.

“What? She replied wondering what he wanted to say.

“You are the most beautiful woman I have ever come across.. You are intelligent, and heavily endowed..I am jealous of your husband. If I am your husband, I will stay glued to you and never look outside.”He texted.

Beauty smiled as she read the text.

Just then her husband walked into the room, she quickly texted “I will be right back” to Walter and dropped her phone.

She brought down the television and broke it on the floor. Removed the bedspread and tore it up.
The more she remember it the more it hurts her. She was determined to pay him back in his own coin.
Idris was really scared to go close to her.. He had never seen his wife so angry before.

“Get out of this room now before I do something stupid.”She yelled and Idris quickly left the room.

Beauty needed somewhere to calm down,She has been carrying a lot of anger towards her husband and she decided to let it all out.

She took her phone and called Walter to come pick her up at the junction.She had been declining his invitation to come to his place but now she needs a shoulder to cry on and the perfect person for that is Walter.

She left the house without one word to her husband. She went to the junction and stood waiting for Walter. He arrived 15 minutes later and she got into the car.

“Are you okay?”Walter asked worriedly and she nodded. Walter decided to let her be.
In less than 20 minutes they were in his place.
He lives in a very big mansion. Way too bigger than the house Beauty bought with her husband.
The compound was decorated with different types of flowers. It has a swimming pool at the extreme.
There’s also a gym house and a seat out there.

Beauty could not help but admire the house.
“You like it? Walter asked as he noticed her staring.

“Yeah… It’s beautiful.”She responded

“Let’s go inside”Walter said and took her by the hands and lead her inside.

He lead her to the couch and she sat down.
“Make yourself comfortable while I get something for you.”He said and left for the kitchen before Beauty could respond.
He soon came back with a glass of orange juice which he handed over to her.
There was total silence as Beauty sip her juice

Idris was going into the living room when he had Jewel and Joan discussing something seriously. He had to eavesdrop to know what they were saying.

“Mummy and Daddy has really changed, Dad is not longer cheerful and mum is always shouting at him…I think something is wrong.”Joan said

“Yes….we no longer pray together,Mum and Dad no more play like they use to.”Jewel responded

“I miss the way our family use to be. I wish we can still go back to that way.” Joan said sadly

Idris was almost in tears. He really felt for the kids. It’s been over two month yet Beauty has refused to forgive him.
She stopped talking entirely and doesn’t cook for him anymore. He tried everything possible to make her forgive him but she wouldn’t. He wanted to involve her mother to know if she will listen to her mother and forgive her but he thought against it. He didn’t want his wife’s family to see him as an infidel.

Beauty was dressing to go out when the girls entered her room looking moody. She was alerted,even though she wasn’t in good terms with her husband but she doesn’t joke with her kids. They are her priority.

“Hey girls… What’s wrong with you? You don’t look cheerful, is anything wrong? She asked.

“No mom,we just want to talk to you about something.”Joan said

“Wow… My girls want to discuss with me. Okay, mummy is all ears.”Beauty said with a smile as she sat down on the bed to listen to them.

“Mom, we wanted to know is something is wrong ” Jewel said

“Wrong? How? I don’t get you.”Beauty said confused on what they were driving at.

“we no longer play nor pray together like we use to. Daddy doesn’t look happy anymore and you are always shouting at him whenever he talks to you.”Joan said sadly.

“Oh.. I…I mean.. Beauty shuttered. She didn’t even know what to say to them. She knew the girls were right. She just found it hard to forgive her husband. She never imagined that her husband whom she loves so much could cheat on her.

“You know what girls… Why don’t we talk about this when I come back? Mummy really have to go somewhere, but we will discuss about it when am back okay.” Beauty said with a smile.

“Alright mom.”they responded

“So what do I get for you while returning?”

“Vanilla ice-cream.”Jewel shouted excitedly

“I want chocolate ice cream.”Joan said excitedly too.

“Alright, I promise to get it for you.”

“Thanks mom.”they said and hugged her, then left the room.

Beauty sighed and then resumed what she was doing. She wanted to go and see Walter,a friend she met two weeks ago in the supermarket.
She dropped her purse on the counter after paying for what she bought.
Walter saw it and ran after her with it and then gave it to her. They exchanged contacts and have been speaking on phone since then.

Walter seemed to be a nice man, He cared after her and always call to check up on her even though he knows she’s married.
He had pleaded for over a week to have lunch with her but she always came up with some excuses till she ran out of excuses and decided to hang out with him.

Walter was sitting in the restaurant waiting for Beauty. He had sent her the address of the restaurant and she said she was on her way.
He looked at his wrist watch and looked at the entrance door.Beauty was twenty minutes late.
He decided to wait.
Soon, Beauty arrived wearing a sweet smile.

“Am so sorry to keep you waiting, the traffic held me.”She said as
she took her seat.

“It’s okay dear, thank God you are here…. You look beautiful by the way.”Walter said with a smile

“Thank you… You look good too.”Beauty replied.

“Thanks dear…. Let’s make some orders. ”

Walter called a waiter who took their orders.
They ate in silence but Beauty couldn’t keep her eyes off him.The first time they met Beauty had no time to look at him very well but sitting close to him made her see his features clearly.
Her husband is handsome but Walter looks way too handsome than her husband.

Walter is a tall chocolate skin guy with a neat beards. He has a perfect gap teeth and a dimple that shows off whenever he smiled. He was wearing a body tight shirt which shows all his muscles.

“Are you okay? He asked when he noticed her staring at him.

“Oh… Am fine.”She responded realizing she has been caught staring. Walter smiled knowing the effects he has on women. Many of them droll over him.
He reached out and cleaned something off her cheek and she blushed. She thanked God she’s dark skinned otherwise Walter would have caught her blushing.

“Sorry, something was on your face.”He said still smiling.

“Oh… Thank you.” She replied shyly.

She wondered what was really wrong with her. Why would she feel this smitten by Walter and why she would compare his looks with her husband’s.

“Hope you are enjoying the meal?”Walter asked

“Yea,sure… I’m.”

“This is where I normally eat, I know you will love their food.”He said

“I see… Their food is really nice.”

“Yea, it really is.”Walter answered and they continued eating in silence

“Jesus, has it gotten to the extent of leaving your matrimonial home? Look Beauty, I want you to go back home and make peace with your husband. I don’t even want to know what went wrong but you can let it all out to Jesus. He will heal your marriage.”

“Mum I can’t go back home.”

“Oh yes you will.. Infact you are going right away. I am like a mother to you over these years. I won’t device you and I won’t be pleased with you if you defy me. Go home and amend your home dear.”

“Alright MA, thank you.”

“You are welcome dear, greet the girls for me.”

“Alright, I will.”

Beauty sighed as she dropped the phone. She knows better than to disobey her school mother. She decided to go back home the next day cos it was already late.

THE NEXT DAY.

Idris went to work looking very tired.he had eye bags because he couldn’t sleep last night. He kept calling his wife but it wasn’t connecting. He guessed she must have blocked his line.

He went straight to Vicky’s office,Vicky walked up to him with a smile to hug him but he blocked her. He brought out an envelope and gave to her. She took it and opened it. She had shock written all over her face as she read the content.

“You want to resign? Why? What for? She asked.

“I can no longer work with the devil.”He responded coldly

“Oh… I see, it seems you want your wife to find out about our little secret.”Vicky said smiling wickedly.

Idris scoffed “My wife already knows so no need.”

“Oh”Vicky said in surprise.

“Thank you so much for ruining my life. “Idris said and then left the office banging the door.

Idris came back home and found out that the door he locked before leaving was open. He became scared wondering if thieves had invaded their house. He quietly walked into the house.
He saw Jewel and Joan on the floor playing while his wife was on the couch watching TV. He was so happy that they came back.

“Baby”He called excitedly

“Daddy!The girls screamed as they ran to him

Beauty sighed, got up from the couch and left the sitting room.

Beauty was in the guest room when Idris entered. He quickly went on his knees.

“Baby am sorry… I know I wronged you but please forgive me. Please come back to the room. I can’t stay without you.”He pleaded but Beauty was not moved. She continued pressing her phone.

“Babe. “Idris called as he touched her arm

“Get your filthy hands off me…look Idris, I came back here not because I wanted,so while am still here please stay far away from me.”She warned and walked away from him.
