REVERSE ENGINEERING DISCONTINUED TEA BLENDS IVE NEVER HAD BEFORE:
Birthday Cake Rooibos Blend by DAVIDsTEA

Blend deets:
35G RED ROOIBOS
18G HONEYBUSH
10-20 SPRITZS BDAY CAKE FLAVOUR*
12G MINI MARSHMALLOWS
12G CAROB NIBS
12G SPRINKLES

*To flavour the tea I use LorAnn super strength (water soluble) flavors. I add 1 part flavor oil to 3 parts everclear to a spray bottle.
Spritz it over the tea, I start with 10 spritzes per cup of tea, and go from there. Shake the tea well to disperse the flavor and let it dry for 12-24 hours before bagging!

This blend is best drank HOT w milk & honey (imo)! I do a heaping tea scoop steeped in 6oz freshly boiled water, and let it steep for 5-6 mins. I like my tea very strong bc I’m a coffee girl at heart hahah I then add a splash of cream and a bit of honey and it is DELISH!

HAPPY FRIDAY ✨ let’s make Shabbat dinner for my family!!

My bread machine challah & loaded matzo ball soup recipes can be found on my website!

EXTRA CREAMY HUMMUS
* 1 (19 oz) can chickpeas
* 1 can of water (refill the chickpea can)
* 3–4 Tbsp tahini (adjust to taste)
* 2 Tbsp olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
* Juice of 1 lemon (about 2–3 Tbsp)
* ¾ tsp kosher salt (adjust to taste)
* ½ tsp ground cumin
* ¼ tsp smoked paprika
* 2 ice cubes
* Fresh parsley + smoked paprika for garnish

Pour the chickpeas and one can of water into a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered until most of the water has evaporated (about 12–15 minutes). This softens them for a creamier blend.
Drain and rinse chickpeas with cold water. Transfer to a bowl of fresh cold water and swish vigorously with your hands to loosen skins. Skim floating skins off with a mesh spoon. Repeat 2–3 times.
Drain chickpeas and add to a food processor with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt, cumin, and smoked paprika. Blend until thick and mostly smooth.
Add the ice cubes and continue to blend for 1–2 minutes until light and creamy. Add cold water 1 Tbsp at a time if needed for thinner consistency.

KAELAH’s CLASSIC SUMMER BBQ RECIPES ✨

MACARONI SALAD
* 8 ounces uncooked elbow macaroni (approx. 4 to 4.5 cups cooked)
* ½ cup celery, finely diced (about 2-3 ribs)
* ½ cup pickled red peppers or pimentos, chopped and drained
Dressing:
* 1 cup mayonnaise
* 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
* 1 ½ tablespoons granulated sugar
* ½ teaspoon kosher salt (or to taste)
* ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
(Add more vinegar and sugar to taste preference as needed. Add more mayo if you want it creamier)

EASY PEASY COLE SLAW
* 1 bag (14 oz) shredded coleslaw blend
* ½ cup mayonnaise
* 2 tablespoons white vinegar
* 1 ½ tablespoons granulated sugar
* ½ teaspoon kosher salt
* ¼ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
If you like it more creamy add more mayo, sweeter - add more sugar, and if you like more zing add more vinegar!!

Burger Sauce Recipe:
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons mustard
1 tablespoon white vinegar
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ cup minced onion
1 tablespoon minced pickles or relish
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
(I didn’t refer to my written down recipe in the video and winged it and forgot half the ingredients hahahaha)

BAKED BEANS
This recipe is entirely an estimate bc I’ve never measured them ever when I make them. They’re v hard to mess up.

* 4 cups cooked white navy beans or pinto beans
* 1 onion, diced and sautƩed in oil until translucent and a little bit browned
* about a cup on bbq sauce? (Just enough to thoroughly cover them)
* 1/2 cup brown sugar (i like em sticky sweet mmm… honey works too!)
* 1/2 cup water

Cover them & bake at 350f for 30 mins. Remove the cover ones they’re bubbling and take them out once the water has evaporated and they’ve thickened up to your liking.

GRILLED VEGGIES
* Diced - zucchini, baby bellas, bell peppers, red onion
* Coat them well in avocado oil
* Seasoned with lemon pepper, garlic powder, Greek seasoning, chicken consommƩ, smoked paprika, herbamare, pepper

My most recent SALAD PROPHECY:
Grilled Chicken & Apple with a creamy lemony vinaigrette dressing situation.

This version of the salad from my dream gets a 7.2/10. It is really good, but can be better, and I WILL make it better later this summer šŸ˜‚

Here is the recipe for V1 if you want to try it:

I coated my chicken in a chicken seasoning I had never tried before, I usually marinate it or use Mr rotisserie chicken seasoning before grilling but I’m out of it and forgot to marinate it. This seasoning was the wrong call for this specific salad but it was v yum. Im gonna do a different seasoning next time.

I like to get my chicken pretty flat before grilling so it spends the least amount of time on the grill possible. This keeps it nice n juicy. I flip it after 5 minutes, then check the temp after 5 mins then every 1-2 mins until it reaches 165f internally. I like to let it rest for about 10 mins before slicing.

Creamy Lemony Imitation Shallot Dressing:
•3 tbsp mayonnaise
•3 tbsp olive oil (or neutral oil)
•2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
•1 tsp Dijon mustard
•1/4 ish garlic clove, finely minced
•2 green onion stalks (white part only), finely minced
•1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
•1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

V1 Salad Base:
• mixed greens
• arugula
• finely sliced red onion
• finely sliced apple (honeycrisp is best)
• chopped roasted pistachio
• sliced avocado

WELCOME TO SEASON 2 OF MY ~BACKYARD BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT~

Last year we covered the meat and potatoes, so this year we are expanding and focusing on the GREENERY AND GARDENING!

In this episode I refresh the sandbox from last year, and start in my v ambitious garden that I planned out meticulously but neglected to measure anything or consider the necessary amount of soil needed! Nevertheless we will persist my friends!

I am so excited to have a big big garden this year and all the fresh veggies so I’m gonna make it work! I’m also expanding my herb garden since it FLOURISHED last year and it was just so handy to have so many fresh herbs on hand at all times when I was cooking!

Need episode we are gonna continue on with the garden process and I also want to expand the grill patio a bit!

LETS MAKE: Birthday Cake Breakfast Assam Black Tea

The blend:

•1/4 cups Carob
•1/2 cup dehydrated marshmallows
•1/4 cup rainbow sprinkles

✨ REVERSE ENGINEERING A TEA BLEND IVE NEVER HAD BEFORE šŸ„„šŸ¦ // today I attempted to recreate the discontinued Coconut Cream Pie blend by David’s Tea that was submitted by Christie!

I used a reference photo of the blend I found online + the listed ingredients to do this. This one was… in the end… delicious! Even though it was a process to get it to taste how I wanted… it turned out amazing. I ended up with two blends to send to Christie (plus someone from the comments) so you guys can lmk (if you want) what you think / which you prefer!!
