The veil upon our minds

I finally get what Paul was talking about here. The Israelites had became so numb to change.

They couldn't see beyond the law. Their minds were enslaved by the law and it didn't even help that they didn't obey the law.

It's like an eagle living with chicken all her life and never knowing she could fly. Likewise today, many of us are held behind the veil by dogmas and paradigms passed down or learnt. Only the Spirit can set us free and give us light

There is a Feeling and there is a Choice. Feeling are natural emotional reactions. Choice is a decision. It's an activity of the mind with the brain to move in a preferred direction.

Today, let your choice lead you to a place of joy. Chose your response this week. Actively engage your mind to respond with joy at every situation.

How many times have we seen this image? The cheetah and the Gazelle. 2 heartfelt prayer points - for survival as the main goal. So which one will God answer? 😀

James 2: 17 - Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
If you have the strongest faith and you are the laziest worker, there will be no reward. This is what has limited the church in many ways. So much emphasis on faith and no works. Today choose to be the HARDEST WORKER IN THE ROOM (office, business, school etc) in whatever you do. Its doing this that brings sweet rewards.

Welcome to the second half of the year...

Wait a moment! we are already 10 days in🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

That's how time flies. We planned so many new things in the 2nd half of 2021 we haven't even touched. You are not a failure!

In the seven habits of highly effective people, the 3rd habit is First things first - To live a more balanced existence, you have to recognize that not doing everything that comes along is okay. There’s no need to overextend yourself. All it takes is realizing that it’s all right to say no when necessary and then focus on your highest priorities🏁 (franklincovey.com).

Don't exert yourself on a diet plan, eat less and exercise more.
Worry less, Pray more.
Spend less, save more.
Sit less, walk more.

Build a routine around things you like doing.

Excellence does not come by invention, its doing the simple things consistently.

Have a productive 2nd half 2021

What a Joy ride this past 7 days looking into what Jesus taught us about Fatherhood. In the world right now, there is a gap for FATHERS. I am not referring to men: being a man is not the same as being a father.

Where are the fathers boys can look up to?
Where are the fathers that will teach our girls?

With Jesus on the way back to the Father, he understood that He needed someone to comfort His own. He didn't walk away from them.

Let's look within ourselves as fathers and check if we are meeting the emotional, spiritual, physical and mental needs of our children? Don't feel inadequate or incapable of taking the responsibility.

You are a Present father, a hardworking and productive father, you are a coach, leader and mentor. You are made in the image and likeness of God. You are more than enough for your children and everyone who looks up to you as a Father!!!!!.

YOU ARE A GOOD FATHER!

John 15:2, He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes.

A farmer works hard at planting, weeding, and pruning until he gets the best harvest. One central theme in this 7 days of understanding Fatherhood, is that its a life of sacrifice.

There are many fathers and there are FATHERS.

The difference is always seen in the amount of sacrifice. The only sacrifice some make is the sexual act!!! (the table is broken😀😀😀. There is no capacity to impart knowledge in the lives of their children. These type of men are even worse than absentee fathers. They are present and not present.

A father is a child's first coach to inspire, build, motivate and groom for success. Let's get out of our cocoon of office work and self-importance and begin to show our children how to succeed in life.

BE THE COACH

John 10:11, 'I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the ship. Whao! Jesus was confident to say, I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD because he paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Can you say, 'I am a good father?'

No one is dying today...lol. 😀😀😀

Its a reflection of how far we can go for our family to guide and protect them. I remember how my Dad will drop us off at school before going to work, then come back to pick us up before returning back to the office. At a point, he took up a job out of town to provide for us. I don't take those sacrifice for granted because it easily flows from me to my kids. Nothing is too impossible to do for them.
A Pastor, who was an Executive Director with a Financial institution once said, 'I am ready to drive a cab to take care of my family if it is required' His ego, career, or people's expectation was not going to get in the way of him doing right by his family.

YOUR SACRIFICE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

John 5:17, But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.

There is something about God and Work. In Genesis, Bible said, "God rested from His work" and right here, Jesus makes it clear that the Father IS STILL WORKING.

God is still working!

Fathers work. The Principle of Jesus is if I work, you will do greater works. If you work, your children will do greater works. A family can never grow beyond the knowledge of the father. It is where you stop, that your children will start from.

Don't stop developing yourself. If you refuse to aim high, your children will have to begin from there. Everything you do is becoming a genetic makeup that is transferred to your generation.

Don't let bad habits move to the next generation!
Don't transfer a mediocre mindset to your next line!
Don't entertain a failure mentality!.

Remember when Abraham lied about Sarah to Abimelech?, it didn't take too long for Isaac to repeat the same lie.

Be intentional about your life and what you do. Your children will receive the right capacity to grow.

My Dad always spoke to us about all his family established everywhere in the world and it came to pass!.

YOUR WORK WILL SHAPE YOUR GENERATION!!!

Luk 15: 20 -So he got up and went to his father.
“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

What love the father had for his lost son!.❤️

Jesus taught us how fathers never give up on their own.

What can your child do that will make you abandon him?
Is it possible to walk away from your own?

Its not only Mothers that have the ability to hope for the best in their children, Fathers too can! Let's stop celebrating only the successes of our children, embrace them when it hurts the most.

A father keeps looking until he finds the gold in their child's life. Keep pushing,
keep digging,
keep searching
and keep looking until we find that one thing that unlocks the potential within them. Your child is a quiver in your hand and you will strike gold with it!

HE STILL LOVES THE PRODIGAL!
