Home Accessibility Tax Credit (HATC)
If you or someone in your household is 65+ or living with a disability, you could get up to $3,000 back on eligible renovations — things like curbless showers, grab bars, wider doorways, and ramps. These are designed to make a home safer and more livable long-term, and they can be done beautifully.

Canada Greener Homes Loan
This one is an interest-free loan of up to $40,000 for energy efficiency upgrades to an existing home — insulation, windows, doors, heat pumps. It has to be repaid, but interest-free over time makes it a genuinely attractive option for bigger upgrades.

Multigenerational Home Renovation Tax Credit (MHRTC)
Building a secondary suite for a family member who is 65+ or eligible for the Disability Tax Credit? You may be able to claim up to $7,500 back. In-law suites are one of the most-requested projects we see right now.
