There is always more than what meets the eye, there is always a story behind it with deep roots.
African fashion has always been a step ahead; elevating any outfit with remarkable symbolism, historical essence not to mention influential and trail blazing. The cloth used in our βππ€πͺπ£π, ππ€ππ§, & ππ§ππβ ππΌπΉπΉπ²π°ππΆπΌπ» is called βKenteβ cloth .
Kente cloth comes from a textile practice that originated in Ghana centuries ago. The fabric has come to symbolize cultural affiliations from West Africa across the diaspora. Every colour possesses a specific attribute.

From the ancient history of the Ashanti Kingdom, to the Pan-African spread of tradition during the trans-Atlantic slave trade, to modern day interpretations and use of cultural heritage, the Kente cloth is both symbolic and representative of the history of the Ashanti people. Through tracing the origins, evolution, and spread of this unique cultural heritage, we are better able to understand a people and their history.
