COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP IN ACTION. A MEANINGFUL VISIT TO OUR COMMUNITY FOOD BANK🤝❤️

Spiritual Hospital Community Food Bank was pleased to welcome Councellor Brad Bradford,
for a meaningful, hands-on visit with our volunteers and community members.

Rather than simply observing, Councellor Brad Bradford and team rolled up their sleeves and joined our team—helping to pack groceries, assisting with loading and distribution, interacting with our volunteers, and offering words of encouragement to those who faithfully serve our community week after week.

Most importantly, the visit provided an opportunity to listen directly to individuals and families who access our food bank and hear firsthand about some of the challenges they are facing.

As the cost of living continues to place pressure on households, seniors, newcomers, and vulnerable individuals, community food programs like ours remain an important source of practical support.

We are grateful when community leaders take the time to come into grassroots spaces—not only to see the work being done, but to listen, engage, serve alongside volunteers, and better understand the needs of the people we serve.

A heartfelt thank you to Councilor Brad Bradford for spending time with us, and an even bigger thank you to our incredible volunteers. Week after week, you show up, lift boxes, pack groceries, welcome families, and serve with compassion and dignity. You are the hands and heart behind this work.❤️

As a church, we are deeply committed to community service and loving our city. This coming Sunday at 11:30am, we have a unique opportunity to connect with leadership in Toronto! One of Toronto’s mayoral candidates and his team will be joining us for worship. The candidate specifically requested to meet and interact with our congregation before the service, and he will also be sharing a brief greeting during our worship time together. Before I began writing this manual, Bishop Ross prophetically declared that a book was in my spiritual womb and was getting ready to be birthed. That prophetic word became the catalyst that moved me to begin writing and bringing together what God had deposited in me through years of ministry.

How fitting, then, that the man of God whom the Lord used to speak concerning its birth will be present when what was once prophetically spoken is officially launched!
