🇨🇦 YOU ASKED. WE ANSWERED.

Following the difficult decision to cancel our Calgary Qualifier, we’ve taken some time to look at what we can learn from the experience and what we can do differently moving forward.

Bringing a True North event to a city requires significant commitments well in advance — from venues and travel to instructors, judges, DJs, equipment and event production. Many of these costs are incurred long before we ever step onto the dance floor.

One of the biggest lessons from Calgary was that we need a clearer picture of attendance earlier. This allows us to make responsible decisions for each event while continuing to bring the experience we want True North to be known for across Canada.

That’s why, moving forward, ticket prices will increase 3 weeks before each qualifier. 🎟️

Our competition dances are released approximately 3 months in advance, giving competitors plenty of time to learn, practice, plan ahead and take advantage of early pricing.

This carousel also answers a few of the questions we’ve been receiving about competing with True North — from what tickets you need, to choosing your division, to competition registration.

And this is only Part 1!

Have a question about qualifying, Nationals, competition rules, or the True North circuit? Drop it in the comments below 👇 We’ll be answering more of your questions in Part 2.

Thank you for continuing to support this circuit, learn alongside us, and help us build something special for the Canadian line dance community. ❤️🇨🇦

United by country. Connected by dance.
