Veteran actor and comedian Satish Shah was conferred the Padma Shri by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

The prestigious honour was received on his behalf by his cousin, Arvind Mamania, during the Civil Investiture Ceremony. Speaking about the recognition, Mamania shared that Satish Shah had already been informed about the award and was deeply honoured by the acknowledgement of his contribution to Indian cinema and television.

Known for his memorable performances across films and television, Satish Shah remains one of the most beloved figures in the entertainment industry, with the Padma Shri serving as a tribute to his enduring legacy.

According to reports, Indian cricket legend and former captain Rohit Sharma was honoured with the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian award, by President Droupadi Murmu at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi.

Rohit was among 65 distinguished personalities recognised during the second Civil Investiture Ceremony. The award comes in recognition of his outstanding contribution to Indian cricket and his remarkable achievements on the international stage.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest white-ball cricketers of all time, Rohit led Team India to memorable triumphs in the 2024 T20 World Cup and the 2025 Champions Trophy, further strengthening his legacy in the sport.
