Intensity Drives Adaptation!
One of the most important principles in athletic development is the SAID Principle (Specific Adaptations to Imposed Demands): your body adapts specifically to the type of physical demands you place upon it. The movements you practice, the intensity you train at, and the way you challenge your body all shape how it responds.
Want to jump higher? Train explosively.
Want to sprint faster? Sprint fast.
Want to become more agile? Practice changing direction efficiently.
If your goal is to become faster, more explosive, and more agile, your training should reflect those qualities. Slow jogging alone won't develop maximal sprint speed. Instead, young athletes need high-quality sprinting, low-level plyometrics, and purposeful movement drills performed with excellent technique and maximal intent.
At BioFitt Movement Academy, we teach athletes how to move before asking them to move faster. Then we create a competitive training environment where they can apply those movement skills, build confidence, and transfer what they've learned to game situations.
Want to become a better athlete?
✔️ Train with purpose.
✔️ Move with intent.
✔️ Compete with confidence.
We build athletes from the ground up.
Power. Moves. Everybody.

🔥 One of our returning athletes gave us a great demonstration of pogo jumps over mini hurdles!
Pogo jumps are one of our favourite drills for developing elasticity, timing, and power.
Notice how she pre-positions her feet before each ground contact by pulling her toes toward her shins—a position known as dorsiflexion. Research suggests that arriving in this dorsiflexed position before ground contact helps the foot and ankle function more like a spring, allowing the muscles, tendons, and foot ligaments to store and return elastic energy more efficiently.
The goal isn't simply to jump higher—it's to learn how to apply force against the ground at exactly the right time with short ground contact durations. These qualities transfer directly to faster sprinting, quicker changes of direction, and more explosive jumping.
At BioFitt Movement Academy, every drill has a purpose, and every movement has a reason!
We build athletes from the ground up.
Power. Moves. Everybody.
