Inkspire Board is an interactive art piece that focuses on raising awareness for the women of the Downtown Eastside. How can you contribute?
Our team, consisting of Eben Haezer, Gio Orendain, and Rafaela Tam, presents INKSPIRE. We are participating in a Social Entrepreneurship Challenge hosted by SFU (www.startsocialchange.ca). Our goal is to raise funds for a childbirth clinic in Bamako community in Mali, Africa, whilst fostering social change in our local community. Team Inkspire is grateful to have won first place in the Social Entrepreneurship Challenge. A very big THANK YOU to everybody who has supported us in the past 5 weeks. Thanks for writing your inspirational messages on our board. Thanks for coming and volunteering for the Connect & Change event. Thanks for spreading the words about our cause. We would not be able to accomplish this without the love & support from each of you.
Although the competition has ended, Team Inkspire will still support the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre to promote and raise awareness. Stay posted for where our board will be headed next!

All is not lost, as long as there is hope. Connect & Change aims to raise awareness on the women’s issues locally in the Downtown Eastside. Featuring guest speakers from the Power of Women Group & representatives from the Downtown Eastside Women's Centre (DEWC), they will share their stories about hope, love, and resistance in the Downtown Eastside.
