☀️ Heat waves are a major stressor on the electrical grid. The one we’re expecting isn’t extreme, but even if it was there will be plenty of generation in California to make up for it.

Maps using WeatherMesh-6, which is my company’s new model.

🌪️ I was able to pick up a dust devil this afternoon on my new weather page! The wind wasn’t super strong (13 mph) but the increase aligns perfectly with the pressure drop.

Dust devils very small are low pressure systems that spin up thanks to strong sunshine heating the ground. It was cool to record in this level of detail.

🚲 Got in a 20 km ride this morning and was able to catch glimpses of Rainier, Adams, and Hood! It was chilly (44°F / 7°C) but a good ride.
