I passed my Master’s thesis proposal defence! I will cross that stage again and have my Master’s degree by next spring. I am now one step closer to getting my PhD 🙏🏽 You can sit and complain about your life or you can make some decisions to better it. The choice will always be up to you ❤️

Happy 18th birthday to my beautiful daughter Taliyah Amerie ❤️
You have brought so much joy to my life. If you weren’t born when you were there is no doubt that I wouldn’t be here today. Thank you for being such a blessing in not only my life, but everyone who knows and loves you. I will always be here to help guide you on a good path. I will always be here if you just need an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. I love you more than words can say my girl ❤️ Everyone please wish my little baby grown up a happy birthday 🥺🥹

2025 was a beautiful year. I married my best friend, started a successful business with one of my closest bro’s, completed all classes for my Masters Degree, taught and graded my first university classes, and worked on my mental health and wellbeing.
I did my best to not post anything online as much this year. Instead, I wanted to live in the moments and build real life relationships. (This really helped my MH&WB)
2026 marks my 14th year of sobriety. In the beginning of walking this path, I couldn’t have imagined what my life would be like today. I’m so grateful for all of the people who have supported and loved me along this journey.
Some new goals for this year are to complete my masters thesis. Keep building this amazing roofing business. Build up the current relationships with those around me. Keep supporting and loving my wife unconditionally. Keep guiding my babies in a good way. Work on myself daily. Get into a healthy sleeping pattern. Lose 40-60lbs 😳 and become an overall healthier person, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
I pray that this new year brings you and your loved ones positivity, love, prosperity, and growth in all aspects of life. I wish you nothing but good things that bring you peace and happiness ❤️
- We finally got the rest of our wedding photos, here are some of them. Love you all, from my family to yours, Happy 2026 everyone
**Update** I found my niece Jade Scott alive today! Thank you to everyone who shared her poster. I can’t share her story, that’s for her to tell when she’s ready or ever wants to. The main thing is that she is alive and we are making a plan to make things better ❤️

I married my best friend yesterday ❤️ The day was filled with so much love. My beautiful wife Cory has been such a blessing not only in my life, but also my children’s. I no longer have to walk in this life alone, I now have my best friend to be by my side. I love you all and I hope that you find your special person someday also.
(Ps. I will post some of the professional pictures when we get them)

Proud to say that I’ve been sober for 13 years today!
During that time I have shared my life story to thousands of people in hundreds of communities. Received my bachelors degree last year, and will have my masters degree next spring (PhD in the future). I’m also getting married to the love of my life in 22 days!! I’m so happy that my children will never see me drunk or high. There is so much to be grateful for in this moment.
I still remember crying, feeling helpless, empty and lost. Praying for my life to change. All it took was one step towards a new path. Brick by brick, I will keep on building the future I deserve. Thank you all for the continued love and support on this lonely road of sobriety.

One of the best lessons I have learned from my sobriety is to be patient with myself. Change doesn’t happen overnight, and there is no instant fix that you may be accustomed to on this road. It’s tough, some days it downright sucks to be honest. You have to actually feel the emotions and work through the stuff you’ve been avoiding or hiding from.
Once you become sober, that’s when the real work actually begins. I know people who quit drinking and doing drugs, but they never worked on healing themselves. It’s not too late to change who you are, or make your life better. You gotta be willing to make it happen.
If you truly know me, the life I’ve lived and where I am today, you would see that it is possible to change for the better ❤️ I’ve been homeless, an addict, lost, hurt, and invisible. One day, I took a step towards a new life and never went back. Today, I am almost 13 years clean and sober! I got my bachelors degree last year and will have my masters degree next year. PhD in a few years too! I’m getting married in a few months to my best friend! I am a present, caring, nurturing, kind and loving father to my babies. This is what living a sober life has given me.
I’m not boasting or bragging at all, I just want to give you a glimpse of something you can also do for yourself. It takes time, so be patient with yourself today. Keep working, keep crying when you need to and keep smiling through it all.
I hope this message reaches you if you are on or looking for the road to sobriety ❤️🙌🏽 Love you all
Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mom’s, step moms, and mother figures out there ❤️ You are loved, appreciated and needed. To my adopted moms who took me as their own after my mom passed away, just know I love you more than words can say.
I have successfully completed all of my graduate courses with a 3.7 GPA 🙌🏽 Now I have to write my thesis and I will have my Masters Degree. I came from nothing and I built my life into something beautiful ❤️
Next goal PhD.
