In the world we live in today, taking ones time to do things right is a lost art. I feel fortunate and blessed to be able to obsess on a single knife and massage each part of it until it is perfect. Mass production and speed is not the mentality in my shop. When people view my work I want them to stop and think – how did he do that, I have never seen that befor. That’s what makes my pieces success

It’s been a while since I posted anything, I have been busy making luxury… seamless forged Gold wedding rings, keyhole stainless Damascus chef knives and Salish flippers, but most recently I enjoyed making this 35 year anniversary gift for a client. Black Ebony and Stainless Damascus Chop Sticks, with repurposed red Coral and Silver. (Coral being the 35yr symbol).

This Classic 154-CM Cosmo Bushcraft was a rush order heading down under to Australia. With the over size 0.22 thickness,hair splitting 17 degree scandi grind, rounded thumb pad and choil, sharp 90 degree spine, black G10 liner and pins with brass reinforced holes, locally sourced and stabilized maple burl handle and bead. Carried in a heavy leather sheath.

The Salish Button lock Flipper is available in your favourite premium steel. This client requested CPM MagnaCut. A top choice because of its fine microstructure with toughness and edge retention matching CPM-4V and stain resistance equal to 20CV and S45VN.
