Throughout the past two years, I have had the privilege of painting alongside exceptionally talented artists at the McMillan Art Gallery and Plain Air group in Parksville, BC. Here is a selection of my artwork. I am profoundly thankful to be surrounded by such skilled artists who have offered invaluable guidance and support, enabling me to overcome my self-doubt and self-criticism. I anticipate the next year of creativity and friendship.

Inspired by A J Casson, I created this small piece depicting Spider Lake on Vancouver Island in 2020. Should I revisit and complete this painting someday? Or just let it be? What do you think?

I admire A. J. Casson's work. Here is my master copy that I created in 2004. 🙂 After visiting the McMichael Gallery, I gained a deeper appreciation for the challenges of replicating a photograph as a master copy. Ideally, it would be preferable to paint from the original. Nonetheless, it was a valuable experience.
