May was a busy month at Westview!

From field trips and outdoor learning to classroom projects, special events, performances, and everyday moments of discovery, our students made the most of every opportunity to learn and grow.

Our monthly focus was Courage, and we saw it everywhere—students trying new things, taking risks in their learning, showing leadership, and persevering through challenges.

With Valentine’s Day and Pink Shirt Day, we’re reminded that caring is more than a card or a colour. It’s including others at recess, standing up to unkindness, listening with respect, and being a good friend every day. We saw snow, fog and sun.

At Westview, we practice being Kind, Safe, Respectful, and Responsible — and caring is at the heart of all four.

Let’s keep walking in each other’s shoes. 💕

Concert prep, classroom magic, winter fun, and a whole lot of heart. Thank you, Westview community, for ending the year with kindness, joy, and care for one another.

A month of learning, pausing, and showing care — from classroom projects to our Remembrance Day assembly. Busy days!

Our theme of Respect & Remembrance showed up in big and small ways: listening, honouring stories, caring for our spaces, and showing gratitude to those who came before us. ❤️

Designed for 4-year-olds entering Kindergarten in September 2026, JustB4 is a fun, play-based afternoon program (12:45-3:45 pm) that includes stories, games, hands-on learning, and arts and crafts. The program takes place in the StrongStart classroom at each school.

qathet School District has opted into the BC Government’s Child Care fee reduction program and the parent cost is $111 per month, and additionally, there is an Affordable Child Care Benefit for qualifying families.
