Don’t miss the next community meal with the PEC Food Collective, coming up on Thursday, June 25th. This month we’re hosting in PICTON at Macauley Village Park, 4-7pm. Come enjoy some food, laughs and chats with your neighbours!

We've got local sweet potatoes and red onions from Fiddlehead Farm coming in this week, as well as green garlic grown right here in Picton. We're hoping to get some other local farm goods in the next few weeks as the weather warms up and crops stat producing. Lots of our regular fruits and veg are on deck this week as well - favourites lately have been fibre-rich kiwi fruits.

Consecon reminder - you have a new pickup spot at Charlie at 9 Division Blvd on Wednesdays. We will have a volunteer on site between 330-530 for your pickups. We are hoping to have extended pickup hours once Charlie has their summer hours, and we hope that helps those that want to pick up after work.

Volunteer drivers needed in Consecon for deliveries. Is this you or someone you know? Please reach out! You can reply to this email or send a note to [email protected] Once a week (or alternate with another person) for two hours would be ever so helpful.

It’s Friday which means preorders are now open for next week’s markets. If you live in Picton area or Consecon area, you can order ahead for pickup and delivery next Wednesday. Two markets this week, both on WEDNESDAY JUNE 10, for Picton and Consecon (note the new day) AND - a new telephone hotline is available for those of you that aren’t online at home.

We are always working towards making our Good Food Market an awesome and reliable place to get affordable produce. We are making a couple changes to work towards that goal: we are combining the markets to all be on Wednesdays. We're hoping that by making one large food order, instead of several smaller ones, we can maximize our bulk savings and pass on those discounts to you, as well as use our valuable volunteers' time more efficiently. Please note there will be only pickup/delivery for Consecon until further notice. As we transition please give us a bit of grace while we work out the kinks.

The second market is on Wednesday May 27th serving Picton and Sophiasburgh. Order online 12-3 and shop in person 3-5 at the Prince Edward Learning Centre. Or pick up at County Food Hub. Sophiasburgh folks - please be advised we are winding down the CFH pickup after June 3rd, but you can still order from Picton and Consecon markets.
