Small Steps Early Learning Centre invites EVERYONE to come and celebrate the creation of our beautiful new playground with an evening playdate party and grand opening celebration! 🎉🎉🎉

With rubber paving designed to look like the river, and custom play equipment inspired by things you can see around town, our playground really is a love letter to Outlook and area. And it was built with love by many, many local hands. 🥰

Ryan was a very important part of Small Steps, and his legacy lives on through the projects he created: his beautiful picnic benches, the playground, and countless improvements he made daily.

Our staff best remembers Ryan for his love of loaded baked potato soup from Outlook Bakery, his penchant for leaving half-full coffee mugs all over the property, and his pride in finding the perfect sale at Home Hardware. Without fail, Ryan would bring donuts for our staff every payday, then announce he was leaving to go see his beloved grandson.

He had a goal of learning all 90 children’s names by this summer and always spoke about children with immense respect and admiration. The children admired him deeply, too, and were always very excited to see him and offer their assistance in painting walls or shovelling snow.

Ryan's absence is already felt deeply around here, and we miss him very much. He was far more than a maintenance custodian; he was a dependable, creative, and caring friend.

But the thing that made Ryan smile the brightest was coming to Small Steps and getting to know your children. He had a goal of learning every child’s name by this summer, and always spoke about your children with immense respect and admiration. Your children admired him deeply, too, and were always very excited to see him and offer their assistance in painting walls or shovelling snow.
