Ok so it’s been a minute. Time for an update

The shop is currently homeless but the spirit lives on. We have revamped the website to offer some select tools, parts, and accessories.

We are building out a mail-order tool rental program to help you tackle some jobs that you now have space for, but need an expensive tool that you’re only going to use once or twice. Simply pick the tool, pay the rental fee and deposit - you will be fully refunded for the deposit less return shipping.

We will be adding some how to vids on common jobs, and how to use some of the special tools.

Oh we also have air fresheners :)

Reminder to always check your wheel bearings any time you have the wheels off. The sprocket carrier bearing completely failed, the customer had no idea until we inspected it as part of our routine checklist when doing tires.
You want to catch this in the shop, so it doesn’t leave you on the side of the road.
Now we wait for parts from .ca

Customer discovered that the recommended torque of 32 ft/lbs (!) is too high for the drain bolt on his MT-07. The threads pulled right out.
So he came in for a quick swap of a new oil pan, and since the exhaust had to come off anyway, a huge upgrade to a Yoshimura R77 full system. 🇯🇵ca with the parts hookup

July 30th 2023, we lost one of our finest. In conjunction with Geena’s family, DIY Moto is organizing a fundraiser to help Geena’s wife Carolyn with her unexpected medical expenses due to the loss of her loving wife Geena.
DIY has tapped local artist, motorcyclist and entrepreneur Tom Pajdlhauser who provided us not only with a new logo, but an amazing set of Fine Art prints featuring Geena’s 1974 Ducati 750 Sport.
These limited edition prints, and the full-colour DIY Logo limited edition shop tee are being sold to raise money for this cause. All profits will be donated to Carolyn.

August happenings in the shop!

As many of you already know, we lost a beautiful human being this weekend. Geena was a local legend in the motorcycle community who was an inspiration and mentor to so many. She generously donated her time, knowledge, and skills to us at DIY Moto and her loss is a void that may never be filled.
Our thoughts are with her family, may she ride in peace.
